Hi!
I haven't played BB in ages. Is there still a skaven team?
I liked my three-armed mutants....

There is a Skaven team. I just downlooaded the rulebook and the teams listed are: Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Chaos, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Goblin, Halfling, High Elf, Human, Lizardman, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead and Wood Elf.
I have never been very interested in Blood Bowl (as I don't like RealLife? sports either) but I've NEVER been able to resist free rules.

I like 2 things about 40K - it provides a rich background for Epic, and it's popular (easy to find a game).
I sincerely hope that Epic takes off enough to make the second point a non-issue.

Hi!
BB is a great game, I think its one of the three games from GW I like the most. The other two being epic and 1st edition space hulk.
Great games!

Primarch, I couldn't agree more. Blood Bowl, Epic then Space Hulk.
40k & WFB - the fiction & background is fine, but sadly the games are not. Dumbed down to a playschool level for the main buyers of GW products, children, they have no real credibility as wargames.
But anyway, 40k bashing isn't why I'm here. Play more Blood Bowl!! Then in the off season, play Epic!

Epic and Space Hulk are the only G/W games I own or will. And 40K is for the cookies, milk and crayons crowd !

I have really enjoyed many a BB game in the past. ?had a good league going one year with 4 guys at a Base I was attending a course at. ?Met up with one of them one year in Hong Kong when both our ships pulled in and had a session of 3 games in a Hotel! ?One good thing about BB is that its compact! ?And fun of course ?
Other than that I still have my old 1st Ed Space Hulk (my first GW game) but most regulary play Epic (all incarnations) and BFG. ?40k is good for background and fluff only IMHO.

If the Ultimate Warzone has a method for building your own forces I'll be busy for the next year converting the 40k Codexes ...
As for an alternative to WHFB I'd recommend Armies of Arcana

...I'll also reccomend Necromunda again- Seriously.. it is a great game- I've had more fun playing my Goliath gang for a month in a mini campaign at the moment than I've _ever_ had in all my time playing 40k...

Don't mind a spot of milk, either... Sereiously - I play 40K and WH, and enjoy both, although I'd agree Epic, Man o'War, BFGothic and WARMASTER are more interesting. Space Hulk is great too, especially as time flies for the SM player! Tried Mordheim and it can be fun too. Never tried Necromunda or BB although I have bits of Delaque and Goliath warbands and a couple of as yet unpainted teams. I hear Nuffle's call..
