Hi!

The problem is that a policy could be devolped where GWUS would have it through thier mail order, but there's no guarantee the actual GW stores around the US would carry it. You can pretty much see that presently where GWUS mail order has a pretty good selection of epic stuff, but yet walk into any of their actualy stores an ask about epic...it's as if you were a leper.

But, I'm in an optimistic mood lately and I think the end results will be good ones since Jervis seems to be working on the marketing aspects of epic as well as the rules.

I'm not a pessimist or an optimist, I'm a realist ...

Yah, I am too, that is why I am in a wait and see how it goes mood. I'll buy the rules and for sure some of the minis but I will not put my hopes into the success right now. But I also do not want to talk about failure for sure either.  :D

I just want my new mini fix...

Hi!

Now here's a thought, now that we talk of money. How much do we all think is REASONABLE for epic blisters and sprues to cost with the advent of EpicA?

Any takers?

I think this will depend on what is in them. I know I would not mind a $6 to $15 price per blister if it had a reasonable amount of stuff. I do not think the IG Inantry Co (minus Chimeras) should cost the same as the IG Super Heavy Tank Co. for example.

Jervis did say he expected it to follow the model Warmaster did. Each blister would be a formation. So I would expect some to be costly, such as the Leman Russ Tank Co. for example.

As for the plastic sprues, I do not think the present $3.50 per is a bad price as long as they stay about the same number of figures.

OK, Open Fire

Yep this is what I heard as well, so as you say the prices will be up (!) because they will contain more.  If you play EA that wont be a problem and it should be a quick and easy way to build formations.  But it will be a bugger if you only want 3 Leman Russ tanks and they are sold in a pack of 10.  Thus,  I think there will be big calls for mail ordering individual bits, and we have all seen that thread discussing the capabiltiies (or lack of) in that department.

The other thing is- will the figs be cheaper in packs?  The 40k "Starter Kits" of a codex and some minis are priced the same as the components- ie no savings for the "hit".  Thus the attraction to formation packs for experienced Epicers is notably reduced further.

As for price???  Even if we assume no change in pricing, and epic blisters for 5 pounds for a blister of 3- bet it will cost around 18 quid for a Russ company (thats about US$35 or Aus$50).  So figure on a 10% hike and thats 20 quid....

Hi!

I hope the prices remain, as they are now, which are reasonable. Another thing epic40k had against it was the high prices. Ten dollars for an oversize sprue is too much!

Hopefully, unlike F/W, we will be able to buy individual models as opposed to whole units.  Otherwise, again, I'll be selling my extras here ... :)  And at this point we still don't know how G/W US is going to handle the E-A releases...  ???

Sadly we know how GW Oz will handle it...they simply wont be.  Hopefully that will change, depending on how GW US goes...

Hi!

That would be great Legion4 if we could buy individual models, but I'm not sure it will happen, since its easier for them to sell it groups.

We can though.

Personally I wouldn't mind at all if the plastics stay the same price as now if they just include more normal troops... ?1.50 is very reasonable imo for the ammount of figures you get for your money, compared to say, 40k or Fantasy stuff....

Blisters should be fine if they are sold like Warmaster stuff I think, and hopefully they will sell smaller "squadron" packs of 3 tanks to bulk out our forces...

Whatever happens, I'm sure to be buying lots!
