Oh... Rogue Trader... *goes all misty eyed* Back when you could invent your own vehicles and make up stats for them and use them in games without GW throwing a fit... :)

There are certainly a wide range of rules to take a look at for inspiration - from VOID to Dirtside, although the former is more likely to be of use to you guys.

What setting would you be using? An older WH40k or a current one?

I play VOID a lot and there's been a recent move lately to use the VOID rules for 40k units - if anyone wants to give it a try in the meantime, I'll see if I can get a hold of the bits for ye...

Either way, I wish you guys all the best... if you can recaptured the spirit of Rogue Trader, then I'll be more than interested - especially if you can make it both a skirmish rules set and a roleplaying one too... :)
