L4- thanks for all the great emailsl matey! Most amusing and helped keep me sane!

Maksim - did you ever send the Mega parcel of chaos stuff?  It hasnt arrived if you did.

Dalton - did you get your BB figs in the end?

Looking forward to catching up on the goss and seeing the WIPs.  Needless to say, my gaming/painting has been Nil.

Best waishes to all,
Tas:D

Welcome back! You sailors certainly have a busy life!  :)

My collections have certainly grown. Especially since I was ensnared by Man O'War. During the last three months I have purchased a full fleet for every race save Chaos, and even for them I have a small Khorne fleet.  :)

My painted Squat army hits the 10k mark the moment I get off my lazy, ahem, _behind_ and finish painting a Grand battery and an engineer (called Grumpy Van Vlak, BTW... }:)  )

Oh great, someone turns up again after ages at sea and the first thing people tell him is that I've got a new alter ego.....    :p  :p Anyway I'm not grumpy humph grr mutter.

Hi Tas! Nice to have you back - I finished my bit in the Tale of 6 gamers, am back to making weird conversions, and (guess what) I've got a new alter ego!  :D  :D  (proud!) And I want me - er - him painted Mojarn!
By the way, the latter has spread his marine acquisitions to Malta as well - huzzah!

Hi Tas,

Welcome back, friend!

I have not sent the parcel out because Dalton found some more stuff (and then sent it to me) and I wanted to wait to get it all to you.

Dalton still has not received the BB stuff to my knowledge.

Glad to hear that you are back and wish you and the family every blessing.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

OK - I finally got a game in.
Not quite I had in mind though...

Lynette zipped off down to Melbourne for work on Friday and stayed about to her her folks as well. ?I thought she would take the kids too, but it seems I wasnt destined to bach it in the end.

However, a opportunity scorned is one wasted, so the kids I broke out the toy box and wargaming terrain gear and turned the lounge room into "the Lost valley"

Accompanied by a background playing of Dinotopia and Dinosaur (Jurassic park is a bit spooky for Reilly) we had a good old time hunting down the beasts using the Saurian Safari rules. ?At times it got a bit dull for Reilly (not understadning the rules too well) so he took control of TRex and went stomping - nothing like an unpredictable enemy!

Heres the valley:

Not the Lego volcano, ruined Egyptian temple, and soemwher in there are some Godzilla figs as well!

Green underlay is a GW mat (horribly water scarred and marked, which I fortuitously like as it brealks up the unending green), rocks are home made from a plaster mold, hills are floacked and painted syrofoam with an estopol surface layer.

And here is some snapshots of our intrepid Hunters:

Meaghan (aka "Lady Victoria") - 8 yrs old next month

The blue thing is a pair of intrepid Lego Knights who decided to journey across the table during the game.  They were snapped up by a hungry TRex of course!

And Reilly (aka "Count Boris") - 4 1/2 yrs old

And grand old time by all. ?So grand we were still playing when Mum finally got home.....

Games are where you can find them I guess! ? :D

Ideas for expansion are a river gunboat (and larger river and a Kraken to go with it), a Balloon platform (and some pterandons to attack it) and some hungry carnivorous plants as well!
