Very good question. Unfortunately, Lightning Bolt Blue has gone the way of the Dodo. Its no longer being made by GW. |

Really? What is / was it similar to? I'm a big paint addict, by the way. I just like owning it. I also made 'paint chips' out of 25 mm bases to showcase the colors, as painted. |

Wasn't it the really light blue for highlighting edges etc.? Mix one part Enchanted Blue with 3 parts Skull White and I'd think you'd be close. |

No, just have to mix it everytime needed. It was light blue, but still much darker than current lightning blue. (which is little bit too bright for direct highlight to ultramarines blue) White with ultramarine and enchanted blue gives you good colour.. |

Kotrin to the rescue... I remembered seeing a rant on his website about GW paints. ?From that I found this little link - http://www.gladiator.clara.net/coatd.htm From there you can see the comparison chart - http://www.gladiator.clara.net/equivale.htm The original suppliers of GW paints and still in production I believe. The one Ruiza is after is now high elf blue I think? |
