Sometime last year I recall seeing a website that sold Specialist Games stuff at 20% out of Canada. Since I'm tempted by the whoppingly expensive Kroot Warsphere, 20% is appealing. Does anyone know the URL of such a site? |

Try Great Canadian Miniatures: www.gc-minis.com I bought my BOFA set from them for around $56 US. Their service is a wee bit slow, but the prices are good. |

I was just doing some calculations and it doesn't appear to be much of a discount, unless the prices posted do not include the 25% discount. Anyone, who has ordered from them, know? Thanks, Adrian |

My calculations showed something similar, but I didn't want to be a party pooper. IMO, ordering $100 or more from GWUS is equivalent due to the free shipping. Plus shipping is a few days instead of a month. |

I guess it depends on what you order. Just choosing an item at random: Imperial Guard Artillery Company: GC Minis: $41.25 CAD (~ $35.56 USD) GW/CA: $55.00 CAD (~ $47.40 USD) GW/US: $40.00 USD It's a discount over what you'd spend on the GW/CA website, at least, but the shipping might make it a break-even affair. The only other thing the above calculations prove is that our Canadian brothers are being screwed, paying nearly 20% more for the same item as someone ordering from GW/US. Of course, saying that GW is screwing someone over is a wee bit redundant... |

BTW despite literally YEARS of lobbying, SG products still arent available in Oz, only via mail order from the UK at horrendous shipping overheads... Makes me want to lobby the local GW shop for another Space Hulk Tourney -they got real mad when I went on my last 2 month crusade! BwaHaha! |

I've pretty much decided on ordering from a GW store and just picking the items from there, thereby saving on shipping. That way I can order piece-mill and show that SG products are in VERY HIGH demand ![]() |

Could be worse... 5 years ago $1 Canadian was worth roughly $0.62 US... the exchange rates were a large factor in why the game distribution company I used to work for went under. Anything that had a Canadian MSRP on it such as TSR or White Wolf was usually such a screwy exchange rate that if we sold at the standard discount off CDN MSRP we lost about 10% on the sale. Now having said that... I still don't understand how the heck GW's national business unit's determine retail prices... Canada does seem to consistently come out high though. ![]() |

Sadly, some of us don't have a GW store closer than 300 miles! |

I've started ordering all my SG stuff from inside GW stores, simply to help visibility of spending etc. Every little helps! ![]() |

I have about 4 GW stores within a 15 minute drive, but we cant even order SG through a store down here. ?Every now and again someone has the bright idea to get everyone together so our order breaks whatever lofty threashold is set for free international postage. Also interesting the GWUK postage is pretty bad, but mostly due to the exchange rate (8 pounds is ok until you have to multiply by 2.5), while GWUS postage is just unreasonably silly. ?$22 to post one box of plastic infantry that anyone else over there could post for $5 is nuts. |

I know that I'll be making a fair sized order from GW US by February at the latest (Chaosy goodness!!!). I'll def. qualify for free US shipping. Any one in OZ who wants something can buy through me and I'll post to them at actual cost. |

GWUS all you have to do is break the $100 mark for free shipping. Thats what I do. Heck breaking $100 takes like 3 items. hehe guess thats the only good thing about there models selling for crack dealer prices. |

I checked the USPS website, looks like you can send up to 4 pounds to Oz for under $10 US by global priority mail. If anyone is interested, I can try to get some more specific details. |
