Well, a certain Muscovite we all know has helped that, although even he is outbid now. :O Ebay can be very strange. I'm sure I've seen eldar knights go for pretty low prices even in the recent past. A few years ago I sold the three I had for about $20, fool that I am.

I have no idea what your talking about.   :p

What can I say? I wanted them.  But that other guy is just being nuts.  I figured he was going to bid no matter what, so I just bumped him as high as I was willing to risk just to mess with him.  Now he's stuck holding the bag for $150 for seven knights.

I know - I'm an @ss.

And NO I do not know the seller, but I hope he realizes the magnitude of his impending good fortune. :)

Philip, if it makes you feel any better, I would consider $20 for three Eldar Knights a good deal for you. My limit is usually 5 bucks per knight.

You've done the seller a huge favor.  :D  I wouldn't say you're an @ss. I would say your making that bidder pay for his stupidity.  :p

Well, I really did want the Knights.  I put in a bid I felt comfortable with (for all three auctions) then let it sit.  He bids like a mad dog and outbids me on all three.

Fine.  So I re-assessed and thought I'd pay premium for one of the sets and he could have the other one.  So I bid again, hoping we'd be able to split the difference.

Noooo.  He outbids me again.  So now I'm peeved (silly, but true) but I've got his number so I bid up the second one, knowing full well he'd take the bait.

Maybe I'll mess with him again.

Anyone want to see how high the bid will go?

Yeah, when you bid like he did, you get what you deserve. I'm curious to see how high he'll bid, but I wouldn't want you to end up being stuck with some outrageously priced knights.  :D

I wasn't being serious - I thought even 20 bucks (on Ebay) was more than they were worth and I was happy to get it. GW minis are just god's way of telling you you have too much money :)

The absolutely crazy thing about the knights auction is you can get 3 for $18 from chaosorc's store! I wonder why he doesn't advertise more widely, he should be selling things like hot cakes based on the demand we see at ebay.

I think Chaos Orc usually manages to surf at the top of market prices pretty well.....you don't find many bargains there, but often decent value.  If you're patient Ebay is the way to go.  I've build up a huge pile of Epic 'Nids for not much just by keeping my eyes peeled and not getting into bidding wars...though occaisionally I will mess with the insanely rabid bidders too :)

I picked up 6 Eldar Knights for $19 no more than 3 months ago.

Oh sure, he's usually a bit more than eBay, although with the convenience of getting the stuff reliably that's often worthwhile. I use his prices as a guide and never bid more than that. But in this case the bid is *over three times* the chaosorc price
