Hello, just spotted this on eBay, and thought I'd highlight it here. Basically, it looks like someone's doing the 'classic' "I'll list my items in the Epic section, but not have any pics or say they're Epic in the listing so people will think they're getting 40k miniatures and pay more for them" trick. ? Te user goes under the name of randomnessone, and is selling several items such as this Predator Annihilator (search item number 110051595053). ?Classicly, he doesn't have a picture, OR state whether they're Epic or 40k ? I've sent a question to the seller about one of the items to ask if he'll clarify which scale they are, and I've actually sent messages to a couple of the bidders (who each have bidded on several items) to warn them what might be going on. ?Thankfully eBay have introduced a policy that you can't list stuff for sale if you've got private feedback, so this time I was able to contact the sellers direct. I'll let you all know if I hear back from this seller. ?It's sad to see that someone seems to be trying this underhand trick again. ? |

I've already reported the user to ebay... he shares enough common phrases and techniques with the worst offender 'TerrenceStephens' (Who was banned from ebay a few months back) that I believe the account is probably Terrence's new alias. |

Since none of the items specifically say "epic" in the description, I'm guessing he's trying to pull a fast one. Not having any pics makes me suspicious as well. |

(firestorm40k @ Nov. 04 2006,11:16) QUOTE Classicly, he doesn't have a picture, OR state whether they're Epic or 40k ? Actually, this time they do. "This model is epic scale" is there half way down the 'Other information'. |

I missed that. However, burying it in "other information" hardly constitutes stating clearly that they are epic mins. |

Yeah, I got a message back from him saying to that effect, but as DS points out, it's so far in the small print it's so easy to miss it. IF this information is not first and foremost in the item title and description, then I get VERY suspicious... |

He's also listing items labelled as 'pro-painted', yet without any picture of the items themselves at all, just GW publicity photos. *sigh*. |

Oh aye, I?m sure they?re still trying to pull a fast one, and I?m pretty sure it is that clown terencestephens. Thought I?d better point it out though. You can play a fun game of ?guess what reason this cryptic sentence is here for? with these auctions. Like the mention of items going lost in the post ? no-one else seems to bother because no-one else is planning to conveniently ?lose? items in the post when their dodgy auctions actually go for 1p. |

I like the line about 'if I send you the wrong item I will refund you'. Sounds reassuring to a newbie... but it's an Epic item (Which the newbie hasn't even heard of) so the seller just grins 'caveat emptor' and saunters away smugly. |

Some good could come out of it. He could introduce someone to epic Ok I am only joking I'm not a fan of missleading auctions having fallen for one myself before (the whole this auction is for your choice of one of the following and having a whole buch of text colours the one saying it was one of the items being almost matching the background and the list being in bright red)...... grrrrrrr |
