Just a rant I suppose, but in an Ebay case of buyer beware.  I won an auction for 12 Falcons from Ebay seller Bananahead.  Now, they never turned up.  When I contacted the seller after 3 or 4 weeks had elapsed, he claimed I'd never paid.  When I sent him the PayPal receipt he then claimed they'd been sent and must have been "lost in the post".  No proof of postage, no apology, no refund.  Then, just to really take the cake, the dirty FW left me negative feedback claiming he'd refunded the money.  SCUM.

My advice is file a dispute with Paypal and with eBay...

We'll see how long he lasts after Paypal freezes his account.

Speaking from experience it takes no small amount of nagging Paypal but it can be done.

I had a good outcome going through Paypal Bruce. Guy stiffed me for a copy of Index Astartes 4. I gave him the ammount of time you did and then mailed him, no reply so straight onto Paypal disputes. i got my money back and an apology. Have a crack at it mate and see how you go.

On a lighter note, are you back from the US and are you interested in catching up on Wed 30 Aug.

Cheers
Aaron

File a claim with paypal, you can prove he lied on the refund, so you can get all your money back.

Actually, for reasons I can't quite fathom, except perhaps relative feedback numbers, Ebay arbitrarily closed the dispute I lodged.  To make matters worse, PayPal claimed the transaction was not covered by its' buyer protection scheme....again for no reason I could determine (I used eCheque....maybe?).  I got nailed 4 different ways.

Hi Aaron,

Yup, I'm back from Gencon Indy and I survived.  Even found some really cheap Epic on sale at one of the stalls so now I have 4 of each Bio Titan!  I'll try and make it out Wednesday, but if I do it'll probably be around 9.

Try getting on to the Ebay LiveHelp system. You'll get to speak to a real person.

Hi!

I always pay through paypal using American express. If I have a problem, I dispute the charge with Amex, and they tangle with paypal and all the rest...

..and I dont pay a dime....

Yeah, it?s best to go through your own credit card company because they?re automatically on your side. ?Even eBay aren?t big enough to f*** with banks. ?I think with mine I have to spend a certain amount though.

EDIT - Mind you, I suppose the credit card company can?t do much about the dodgy feedback

Aye, I've had dodgy feedback from scumbags in the past, the appeals process has had it removed.

Hi!

Yup, your credit card company usually initially sides with you. Even though later you may have to pay, they do investigate and if the investigated party does not respond you win by default.
