Hi all, Gifted with insane amount of optimism, I contacted GW sales for Epic Exodites (UK, US, France, you name it.) My requests were politely declined, but I went on asking, refusing to drop the ball. After all, with so few Exodites miniatures released molds couldn't be worn out, could they? I finally had the following reply from GW: After speaking to my supervisor I have learned that the Exodite models in question were advertised and released limitedly prior to the demise of Epic 40,000. ?Unfortunately when Epic 40,000 was discontinued the molds were destroyed. ?Not the answer you were hoping for, but hopefully with the release of Epic Armageddon there will be a new mold and the Exodites will ride again. Thank you. |

Kotrin, Keep in mind it's not necessarily the molds which are an issue, it is the original model that is used to make the mold. If that still exists, then new molds can created. However, the response from GW does give us a glimmer of hope that perhaps in the future new exodites will be released. I think the buying frenzy for them would exceed the one that will occur for Feral Orks! ![]() One other thing, the amount you offered to pay seems reasonable. I'm just not sure you'll find any sellers. |

Your offer is fair, but there are just no sellers. I've been looking for those hard-to-find pieces too in the last year, and they're a bitch to find. |

Hi! To be frank, I think its near impossible to get them anymore. Most of us who bought them, bought enough to make the units and detachments we wanted to make, no spares. Those who would have them would sell them on e-bay, and I GUARANTEE they will sell much higher than 10 or 15 bucks each. It sucks really, but such is the life of an epic fan.... Primarch |

Alas! No capitalist pig I can count on to find those miniatures at any price? No speculators? Too bad! ? ![]() It's not like I'm in a hurry. Like Dwarf Supreme said, maybe the greens still exist (I haven't thought of that one - could they miss room so much as to put 6mm greens in the trashcan too?) The detail haunting me is that I was perfectly aware that there were exodites for sale back in 2003... I even announced that on NetEpic mailing list. But - stoopid! - I didn't buy any at the moment, thinking that they would be available forever. How much costs a web page in an online store anyway? I couldn't have imagined that they had thrown molds away. If only GW had mentioned that there was a limited availability... ? ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, I still have half a dozen Epic armies to paint so it's not exactly critical. But Exodites are the only miniatures missing to the collection I plan to have at retirement time ![]() |

My advice, continue to post on Bartertown, as needed and surf eBay often ... I do that in my search for a number of items (L/R Rec Veh., MK2 Warlord wpns, metal Stompa w/ --- mouth, 40K Tinbotz, etc.) ... Who knows ... we might get lucky ! ![]() |

Me? Desperate? Noooooo!! ? ![]() Let me tell you the whole story, and why those exodites are getting me upset... 1. I'm the gentle soul that first noticed their availability on GW US website in october 2003 and notified every NetEpic discussion group members that those Exodites were there!! I did that twice. I didn't bought them yet because - fool me - it was nowhere mentioned that they were a limited release and I though I had time... ? ![]() 2. Recently, I've lost a bunch of Exodites figures on eBay. One of those garage sales, of course, where the seller wasn't even aware of what he was offering. So, it happens... Once in a blue moon. Hint: no hope of getting any Exodite through regular auctions - rater try "bulk miniatures", "getting rid of old suff" type auction. And be very, very lucky. ? ![]() 3. I plan to have each and every possible NetEpic Army in the 8'000-10'000 points range. As my website shows, I have decent forces for Eldar, Space Marines and Tau at that time. Yet so far I already have most Chaos stuff (including those rare slaanesh titans), Squat (land trains and all), Imperial Knights, everything apart Ork (that I find ugly but that's just me). And I even have more than my share of Eldar Exodite Knights. So the dinosaurs are really the only missing pieces to my collection. I'm not in hurry since it's unlikely that everything gets painted before 2010, at least ![]() |
