Dude, I offer you over $100 worth of GROPOS stuff so long as you pay for shipping and I still haven't gotten the $12 or so via PayPal that you said you would send, although you've confirmed that you got the shipment on 12/13. Then I send you a PM twice this week and you don't respond although I can see you've made plenty of posts today. All I want is a heads up on what you are doing. |

I am sure Maksim will come through in the end. He has in every one of our trades. Sometimes he is slow, but he does do what he says he will. dafrca |

He has always come through for me too, and has many many listings in the Good Trader thread. |

Hi Gandalf, I've been out of the house since nearly last week... getting the girlfriend out of the house, helping out my sister with my nephews and spending time with a sick relative. When I'm out of the house, I don't conduct business. I save PAYPAL and the like for my home computer for security reasons. There are things like keyboard recorders that I stringently avoid. It happens. It's a good reason to not type passwords in Internet cafes or other computers that are not secure. At any rate I was able to get by home earlier today and I PAYPAL'ed you early this morning and... with a little extra. I also sent you a check per our earlier E-mail exchange but you can rip that up when it arrives. In fact, please do rip it up when it arrives. Thanks for your generosity and I wish you a happy holiday season. Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |

Thanks bro, I just wanted to know what was up. I'll send back your check if you want me to when it comes. BTW if you dont have your PC caught up with anti-spyware, anti-virus, etc etc on your home PC you might as well as be using the one at the public library. |

Hi Gandalf, Sure. You're welcome. And I did PM you back. *** Is your box full? *** Please don't bother to send back the check. Just rip it up or toss it when it arrives. I already put a cancel order on it. And I have to respectfully disagree about public computer terminal use. I would never ever use passwords, credit card numbers or other vital data on a public terminal. It was just about three months ago that an Internet thief was caught who left keyboard recording traps on public computer terminals to steal vital information. He had been doing that and getting away with it for almost five years too! No thanks! I'll simply keep a little information security. Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |

So bottom line is, Maksim came through. The fact that he does not want to use public comuters for his Paypal is not the real issue. And just for the record, I agree with him. I have seen too many stories of things happening on a public access computer to trust them with anything real. ![]() dafrca |

Uhhh. . . I wasn't saying he should have used a public terminal. All I was saying is that your computer can be infected with all sorts of spyware and such that records anything you type into a website. So if you don't keep up on anti-virus, anti-spyware software, then yes, you might as well be using a public terminal. So if you dont have a firewall, high security settings, anti-spyware, or anti virus info, and you have all your banking and personal info on your PC, then you are at risk. I am a software developer for one of the largest financial institutions in the world, so I know a little bit about this sort of thing. Everything that gets released in our environment has to go through all sorts of checks since we manage over 4.3 trillion dollars of other corporation's assets. If we didn't have all those security checks in place. . . Just trying to be helpful, but turn it into an attack if you like. ![]() |

Hi Gandalf,
No worries about, Dafrca, Gandalf. He's not mean-spirited and I'm sure he didn't mean his post as an attack on you. He just pointed out that he agreed. Happy Holidays, Gandalf! ![]() Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |
