I think you're right, P. I won't be surprised if the final bid is higher than that, but it is a high starting bid. |

I think the starting price is more than fair, after all as the seller says.. the elda titanz are worth $90 on their own. Wat confuses me is the last part of the discription... THANKS AND HAPPY BIDDING MODELS AND TERRAIN ARE NOT PART OF THIS AUCTION EPIC STUFF ONLY ![]() ![]() |

Good point. I hadn't noticed that. I don't see any terrain and which models are not a part of the auction? ![]() |

Hi! I never set the value at retail, but at wholesale. Bad habit of mine, but I hardly ever pay retail for epic. Only until recently have I paid retail, and usually on a small order. I'm just cheap.... ![]() ![]() Primarch |

Hi Primarch, Where is the best place to acquire Epic models currently? Ebay seems to be really really expensive at the moment (I saw the 2nd Edition Ork and Squat Warlords expansion go for ?31 a couple days ago it was only ?15 originally!) I've been advised to look at barter town but I don't really have any other items to barter with as I'm rebuilding my Epic collection after 10 years out... Anyone got any ideas where to look? Sorry to the real chris for hijacking his thread. ![]() |

Enderel, Welcome to the boards! As for where to look for more minis, you can try here for starters. Some of us do have spare things lying around looking for a good home! Bartertown is pretty good, too. Some traders there are willing to accept money. You can post an ad there and state that you have nothing to trade. As far as ebay is concerned, I've noticed that you need to be patient. A lot of times things go for absurdely high bids, as you have seen, but other times you can make out pretty well. I've had some good deals recently. |

Thanks for the welcome, it's good to find a place where the old style epic system still exists. ![]() Seems that Squat troops are completely out of production now. Anyone know why GW dropped them? Epic Squats are really difficult to find, but I guess I'll have to keep an eye out for a bargin. If anyone knows of any sprues of Squats going, I'll gladly take them off your hands. (Don't think I'll have many replies to that one!) To be honest I've made some serious pruchases recently, way over what I would normally pay, just to start off my army again... Seems I'm a sucker for praetorian weapons.. ![]() |

I have a few squat units I'll never use if you're interested. Not much but I guess everything counts. I'll point you to my own trade thread t keep this one on topic ![]() http://www.epic40k.co.uk/epicomm....;t=5957 Cheers! ![]() |

The reason I heard was that GW wasn't happy with them in 40k. Some viewed them as somewhat comical. Instead of revamping them for 40k and coming out with new minis, GW decided to drop them. There was probably an economic reason as well. Officially, Tyranids ate 'em all up. So, since Squats don't exist in 40k, they don't exist in epic. ![]() Squat stuff can be hard to come by, but it's not impossible. As I said, if you're patient, you will probably come across things that aren't too outrageous, price-wise. |
