I'm not sure how valuable Snots are, a couple of Scorchas or whatever you feel they are worth would be great. I'll send them off tomorrow. |

What's the difference between Snots, Grots and Gretchins ? I just figured it was the same thing with a different name ! ![]() |

Grot's and Gretchin are the same and Snots (i.e. Snotlings) are one size down from Gretchin. |

It's the size that matters... ![]() Grot is a general term for everything smaller than orks. Gretchin are (relatively) smart and cunning and run the daily business of Ork society. Snotlings are even smaller and brainless. They do all the hard work (and get shot through the warp in Shokk attack Guns of course ![]() Cheers! |

The original 40K snots are available from the UK archive. These are the WHFB versions (based individually as lesser goblins) ![]() More pictures at: http://www.ifelix.co.uk/phofant2.html |

Grots and Gretchins seem to be the same... at least in size, Im unsure weather they are different rules for them. Snots are tiny gremlin type creatures. Im unsure why Grots and Gretchins are not called Goblins.. because thats what they are. No one felt the need to rename Orks so why rename Goblins? Maybe Gretchins are more akin to HobGoblins and Grots akin to normal Goblins... I dunno. Anyway.. I did brouse the online GW store and they have plenty of all the above, I just realy didnt fancy paying the ?4 postage for such a small item. With that said.. does anyone else have any other Snots? Id realy like some of the 40k ones, exspecialy the Scorcha Snot waving a spanner. I plan to put lots of snots on my WH40K BattleWagon so it looks like a real hive of activety. |

I thought Grots was just slang for Gretchin, personaly I haven't seen anything that sugests otherwise. Sometimes in the rules they use both names too, e.g. To represent this, Ork formations with more than five units (ie, too many to count on the fingers of one hand), not including Gretchin or Big Gunz units, |

Makes sence ![]() Id like to see a new type of Orky creature. Maybe the result of cross-breeding. For example a GARK "an Ork/Giant cross" Such a model would be about the same size as a BloodThirster, simular proportions to a Gorilla, slow, stupid but very powerful.... just an idea but I think it would look pretty cool ![]() |

Well in Epic scale they are called Gretchins, but I prefer the term Grotz. In Fantasy they have Goblins and you occasionally see Hobgoblin. So I guess the fluff is generally the same ... |

Hobgoblins are very different to the run of the mill goblin and have no real equivalent in WH40K. |

I think Hob-Goblins are the result of crossing breeding either Orks/Goblins or Trolls/Goblins, cant remember which. But thats a gernal fantacy fact and not something I read from WarHammer. Goblins are supost to turn to stone in sunlight, Hob-Goblins dont have that problem, again not something I read from WarHammer. |
