before i start , I know this is a wasted gesture and I am merely whistling in the wind. I am looking for a small number of OOP grey IG infantry sprues from the SM release. I have to admit to my shame that i prefer them to the E40K IG sprues. Ok it may be heresy but that's the way the cooky crumbles. SOOOooo if any hoarders out there have 3 or 4 sprues they may wish to part with please mail me on thoughtpolice@terra.es
direct payment or trade is negotiable.
thanks in forlorn hope

Okay, have I done something to piss everyone off?
I posted a couple months ago that I was looking of Codex Grey IG infantry, and I've stated that again, at least twice in the meantime. Every time it comes up, by the time I see the thread, the deal is done. This is at least the third, plus dafrca posted a bunch of IG on eBay without letting anyone know.
If there are any sprues out there floating around, I am interested. Please let me know:
neal.e.hunt@teamstatestreet.com
Pretty please? With sugar on top?

Sorry!
I am really hoarding mine since I'm using them at a prodigeous rate. I'm not looking to sell any for currency, but to trade for hard-to-get items like the biker with the chainsword, metal infantry, the Recovery Leman Russ, or other OOP items that were never released or are otherwise unavailable.
I must not have noticed your threads before. Feel free to PM or E-mail me and we'll work out something... most likely! It's hard to part me with my minis unlesss I feel a bond of camaradery to you, of course!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Quote (nealhunt @ 13 2003 June,09:26) | This is at least the third, plus dafrca posted a bunch of IG on eBay without letting anyone know. | Neal,
Let me point out a few things:
1) I have offered my personal items here. When I can I will continue. Saves me between .75 and $2 each time I do.
2) To cover the cost of my hobby, I sell off collections for people *through* ebay. I do not always have the ability to sell these things through a venue such as this forum. It is only luck I received this large collection of Epic. Allowed me to sell what I am interested in. Sometimes I sell modern armour, WWII 15mm, Sci-Fi 28mm etc.
3) All of the IG items on ebay are still going with no bids. The person wanted $15 for the troops; I talked him into posting all of the auctions at the same starting bid. So far No One has thought they were worth the $6 starting bid.
4) I am not stopping you from placing a bid. Go bid the $6 and you could win and pay less then he would have asked me to charge you anyway.
5) No trades allowed for a lot of this stuff. I would have to buy from the owner and then trade. I can?t afford me right now let alone trying to buy for the rest of you.
6) I spelled Neal right. :-)
Please do not turn this into a no one likes Neal thing. We post in a public place and try as we might it does not always work out.

Hi!
Chubbybob, I prefer the old codex grey too, so your not the only one.
Seriously though, I dont think there is anything "going on" against anyone. Remember a lot of "trading" goes on offlist and by PM, so you may only "see" the final deal on a post, but actual negociations, trades and offers are also made off the forum.

I only use the older troops in my IG army. I do not even own any of the "newer" plastic guard in my own collection.
There is no shame in having a favorite :-)

I use both type sprues in my IG forces, but mostly "Old Guard" from my SM1 days. I like the different units working together like Allies do in most western armies in many wars of this (and last) century. However of my 6 IG Regts, none have Old Guard, Cats & Vals in the same Regt. I am working on my E-A IG Regt. and that may have Bns of each. Like an Allied Task Force, like NATO has and is expanding in Europe. Of course that will depend on what G/W releases for E-A, and so far Jervis is playing that "close -to-the-chest" ... so far ...

That is true Legion, once I see what is new for EpicA I might have more then the original IG troops in my Guard Army.

I've played Valhallans in 40K since their release, but have only recently started to switch over my Epic army to reflect this. Consequently I have 7 or 8 companies' worth of the grey/codex/Necromundan infantry that will shortly go begging. I'm new here so I'm not too sure on the protocol of trades, but feel free to PM me if you're interested in a more specific breakdown of what's available.
Cash is always nice, but any E40K IG or Eldar metal will make welcome swaps.

dafrca | Thanks for the heads up but I had already seen these. Apart from the cost of postage etc. (I live in NE Spain) the figs are painted. As of yet I have been singularly unsuccesful in finding a decent cleaner here that will remove the paint without destroying the plastic. Yes I have seen all the paint removal techniques but most involve products readily available in the US and I cannot as yet find a Spanish equivalent. So to make my search even more difficult the figs I am looking for have to be virginal. Hopefully I can work something out with Maksim .. BTW did you get the mail I sent you. Not sure if the name I used for the tunneler is correct , I called it a mole but it's the BIG one with the flat bed transporter. I need the IG for a special I am doing. I normally use a mix of GZG and epic for Imperial troops.
(I play DSII using epic figures heavily spiced with GZG stuff but am being seduced by E-A it has a lot of things in common)
