I wouldn't be surprised at all for it just to be late. I had two packages shipped from Singapore on the same - one arrived in less than two weeks, the other one didn't show up for more like eight.

For Atension, what class did you send it? That can make a substantial difference. Are you sure it didn't go surface (through an error at the counter, not yours)? Plus, all packages shipped Canada Post are covered for $100 (for free), although you will just receive the claimed value.

I have sent many packages to the UK from Canada, and it can definitely take a month. All it takes is some time in customs and it can be a real problem. If it went surface, it could take 2 or 3 months.

Hi!

I have seen "surface" packages sent internationally be delayed for up to 4-6 months.

Given the rigors of customs in the modern terrorism atmosphere, I'd suggest waiting.

I've had packages sent "express mail" arrive up to 2 weeks later than anticipated.

I counsel patience.

Both attension and myself had already agreed to wait at least another 3 weeks to the 2month level :) so yeah I'm in no rush really.

my stuff to vietnam took about 6 months, and arrived in pieces thanks to a drugs search since they couldn't figure out why toys were worth that much :(

Hi!

This is worth pointing out. Different countries have rather different attitudes about "toys". What is innocuous for one place isn't for another.

Even if you declare a lower value to escape those nasty EU taxes, your better off taking some of those saving and getting a tracked service.

This is what I do currently with my EU shipments. US express mail international (tracked) and declare whatever value I want. It get's to most EU countries VERY quickly.

Just to chime in here.

I find that stuff coming in from Canada to here and to UK(when I lived there) takes significantly longer than from certain big cities in the USA. Even waiting 2 months may not be enough in my experience. My wife once recieved a birthday present two months before her birthday the following year because it was coming from Australia(it was sent on time, so spent almost 11 months in transit).

Is there is proof of postage?

Any updates on Arrival of Items? I have shipped things to the UK in the past and found they seem to take a hell of a long time.
I had one incident where something took 8 weeks, I had actually refunded the money and then like a day later it arrived.

That's good then. Most important thing really. It is possible to approach your post office, or he could approach his.

I think bmans5 is right, especially if there is proof of postage.

Atension sent a package to me about 6 days ago and it arrived today too (Czech Republic normally takes longer than UK). Just goes to show how fickle the postal service is sometimes.

Very glad to hear it all worked out.

Hi!

I am glad that patience triumphed!

Like bertnernie points out the postal services are indeed "fickle".

Its been like Christmas here for me such alot of cool stuff :) I think I'd like to point out I don't think this was Attensions fault it lokks to me like his postal service arbitrarily decided to use surface mail hence the ridiculous amount of time it took. I say arbitrarily because I seem to remember him saying he was using airmail yet the item came with surface mail marked on it and it seemed to me like stickers had been put on over the original mail tags so not sure what that was all about :) But to be honest its here so I'm not bothered anymore far too gooda stuff to be lost soooo relieved :)
