Yes, I sold these off !! But I use a pointed wire cutter (you can get them at craft stores or some hardware stores) to cut around the bases. Then file off the excess, to the proper base size. Then soak in a cleaning product called
Simple Green, available any where that household cleaning products are sold. Like grocerers, dollar stores, hardware stores, etc. ... I soak them for a day or so, then use an old tooth brush to scrub off the paint. That by this time the paint is flaking off. And I repeat this "cleansing" until the models are at the "right state of clean." I've let things soak for a week or more. Scrubbing off paint a little everyday. The once all cleaning is complete I soak and wash with clear water ...
I have some extra Plastic 6mm Space Marines from a trade ... I removed them from their bases and cleaned off almost all the poor paint job ... I have 15 Infantryman with Small arms, + 5 with Missile Launchers, + 5 in Heavy Terminator Armor, + 3 with Jump Packs with Close Combat Weapons(sword & pistol), + 1 Officer/NCO with Pistol, Powerfist, no Helmet & 1 Cdr with Cape, pistol and Sword(Sword is broken off, I put on another ) + 2 Robots ...
