Hello, I plan to put this army on eBay on Sunday 5th June, but I thought I would offer it on here first to see if anyone here wanted it.
Basically, I am selling my EPIC Iron Warriors army:
It consists of the following:
- Terminator Formation with warlord (Warsmith) and 3 Obliterators
- Chaos Marine Formation with Havocs, Rhinos and Vindicators
- Chaos Marine Formation with Havocs and 3 Obliterators
- Chaos Armoured Company (6xLand Raiders)
- Chaos Armoured Company (6xPredators)
- Decimator Company (3 Decimators – I actually made these to represent Super-heavy Artillery, using my own rules, but for standard games I count them as Decimators)
- Basilisk Company (the normal Black Legion EPIC Chaos List does not allow the use of these, but there are fan-made Iron Warriors lists which do)
- 3 Objectives
- And a Scratch-built, painstakingly converted Bane Lord Titan ‘Ferrus Eternum’, which won First Prize in a painting competition: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/archive ... tan04.html
That’s 34 units of infantry, 21 Tanks, 3 Super-heavy Tanks, and a Titan!
This is part of a larger army which was featured in a Battle Report in Issue 5 of the 40k On-line Fanzine ‘Firebase’, which was part of the ‘WarSeer’ Forums.
As I said, this is a painstakingly converted and painted army – here are some pictures which I hope show the level of detail on them:
As I said, I won First Prize in the single Titan Category in EpiComp 2006 for the Bane Lord Titan – I spent 3 months constructing and painting it, here are some detail pictures:
This army totals at least 3,000 points, depending upon which army list you use – enough for a standard game of EPIC.
For this army I am looking at offers in the region of £150; I feel this is a reasonable price because
a) There are many rare and out of production EPIC miniatures in the army, such as some of the Chaos Marines, the Basilisks, and the Vindicators;
b) To buy the equivalent metal miniatures of these from Games Workshop now would cost well over £100;
c) Because of the level of detail that has gone in to the converting and painting of this army.
It really is a unique army, and really in keeping with the feel of the Iron Warriors.
