So what it says above, I'm looking for Man O'War figs.  If you have ANY figs you'd be willing to part with, please let me know.  I'm also after copies of Plague Fleet and Sea of Blood.

I have cash and stuff for trade, let me know what you are looking for.

Might I suggest looking at Uncharted Seas?

Very fun game, very nice minis, balanced game and it won't cost you an arm and a leg like MoW minis and books :-)

We have looked at it, but since we managed to get ahold of some MoW stuff, we want to collect as much as we can for Man O'War.

Ah... eBay it and pick up some Dwarves :-)

Did I mention metal sails instead of paper ones?

MoW is great over the top GW fun but the game really doesn't scale (the space you need for the control cards for a large fleet is scary) and the Plague Fleet expansion is wildly unbalanced.

Fun if you are the Skaven or the Plague Fleet player though :-)

We're probably going to get into Uncharted Seas, but a couple of us old timers always wanted Man O'War, which I've played but not owned.  We had a copy of the main game fall into our laps with some other stuff, so the two of us who are itchin for it still want whatever we can get.

I've got digital copies of everything, but I'm a bit of a collector like others.

I suppose I could dangle things like an Ordinatus to draw out the lurkers.  :p

From what I understand, the models are really expensive generally (with some reaching very silly money indeed), and even an Ordinatus is unlikely to bag you more than a couple of ships in trade.

I second the vote for selling your MoW and getting Uncharted Seas. US is due a second rulebook with four new fleets soon as well, and models are much nicer than MoW stuff too.

Worst case scenario, you could use US models for your games of MoW?

I beg to differ when it comes to which is more nice looking.
And you can't beat The Old World for feeling.

It's a pity MoW isn't atleast a SG. It's definitly worth it (and I could get to use the copious amount I have).

But then again... Money is nice. Should perhaps sell it all?

Yah, I see the Ordinatus has gone down in price.  We've gotten ahold of a few things already from what some guy brought into the LGS a friend works at.  I've got a Slaanesh Hellship, Dark Elf Manticore riders, and both boxes of beasts.  My buddy has some Nurgle and Skaven, and then there's a few other things around.

And if you have some to sell, I'd definately be interested in buying.

Are these actual pricelevel for Man O'War?
And that without sails and masts?

Based on what I have seen on eBay in the past, yes. Some ships fetch a lot more then others of course.

Good luck with Seas of Blood and Plague Fleet, at a reasonable price that is!  That is the problem with MoW, cost and availability.  Where are you located at?  I know of a store in SE Texas that has several MoW fleet boxes; no Nurgle but had some Khorne, Orks, Humans, Elves from what I recall maybe more.  No discount either, full modern retail prices unfortunately.  I will be back there sometime this week too, I can take a look if there is anything specific.  If you are in the US the shop will mail order too.

Oh, and I also recommend Uncharted Seas over MoW for various reasons already mentioned.  Get both!

Yep.

Whilst BigLemon can be pretty expensive, some of his stuff is priced at a more "mainstream" level - those MoW prices are what you should expect to pay on EBay normally for example, and the the Plaguefleet stuff is even  more pricey. Oh, and whilst most ships sold on EBay don't come with a mast sprue, don't be surprised to find a lot of the longer masts missing when a sprue is included!

I'd say he's a little above average from what I've seen.  For example http://www.chaosorc.com has the galleon at $25-30 US, whereas Big Lemon is around $50-60 US.  But I'd say it's case by case basis for sure.

I nabbed a complete unpunched copy of Man O'War from ebay for $70 US.  Plague Fleet and Seas of Blood seem to hit the $120-150 mark.  I'm also bidding on another copy of the main set, with Seas of Blood an a couple fleets.

We took a look through the boxes at the LGS that someone brought in and found about 8 more boxes of ships.  So in total here's what we have nabbed so far, all of which was NiB, still shrinkwrapped:

Chaos Dwarf Battle Fleet (Thunderfire, 3 Hull Destroyers, Great Taurus)
Dark Elf Death Fortresses (3)
Dark Elf Manticore Riders (3)
Khorne Bloodship (1)
Slaanesh Hellship (1)
Tzeentch Great Winged Terror (1)
Tzeentch Bane Tower (1)
Nurgle Plagueship (1)
Nurgle Plaguecrushers (3)
Skaven Warp-Raiders (3)
Skaven Deathburners (3)
Dwarf Gyrocopters (3)
Dwarf Nautilus (3)
2 other Dwarf boxes (I can't recall which)
Norse Longships (3)
Imperial Griffon Riders (3)
Imperial Warglleys (3)
Imperial Wolfship Squadron (3)
High Elf Dragon Riders (3)
High Elf Hawkships (3)
Monsters of the Deep 1 (4)
Monsters of the Deep 2 (4)

So we've managed to nail down a good chunk, but there are definately some things we're still looking for.  So if anyone has any of the following up for grabs, please let me know.  And I'll send Erik a PM ASAP.

Dark Elf Black Ark
Dark Elf Doomreavers
Skaven Doombringer (currently bidding for on eBay)
Chaos Dwarf Great Leveller Battlebarge
Chaos Dwarf Thunder-Rollers
Khorne Ironsharks
Slaanesh Hellrammers
Slaanesh Hellslicers
Tzeentch Lord of Change
Chaos Deathgalleys (unless these are just the plastics from the main box)
Norse Kingship
Imperial Greatship
Bretonnian Galleon
Bretonnian Buccaneer
Bretonnian Corsair
High Elf Dragonship
High Elf Eagleship
Orc Bigchukka
Orc Drilla Killa
Orc Hulk

We'll probably get around to nabbing Uncharted Seas in the new year, but my buddy and I really want to nail down some Man O'War, because it's one of those nostalgic things.

Wow, well you've certainly done well to grab all that!  :O

I agree that different sellers are uneven in how they price things though; Chaos Orc has the Tzeentch Bane tower for $42!

Ho hum, the mysteries of the second-hand market I guess.
