Chaos Androids.  They are worth about 50x their weight in gold and go for anywhere between $0.50 to $1.00 per model.

If that was true, why wasn't mine bartered away as soon as I put them up here? I don't want cash, I want un-used models.

Hellbores demand top dollar, the other tunnelers are more reasonable.

Capital Imperialis is ridiculous in cost if it can be found.

Nurgle Contagions and Plague Towers can be pricey finds also.

Chaos war engines seem to go for the most - especially Slaanesh and nurgle  -I've sold a pair of subjagators for £75 a couple of months ago.
Also forgeworld stuff seems to sell for more than its retail price for some reason.
I wonder if there will be an increase in ebay trade for the SGs - I can't be the only person who will be looking there rather than SG with the new ridiculous price increases

Hi Erik,

I think it may have to do with the fact people realise they will have to make all the other stuff in order to have a complete army. I can't believe that Chaos Androids are anywhere near that price either.

I would have loved to make you a (sensible) cash offer for them - your 'Nids too - but some folks (like me) are collectors and don't necessarily want to give away models in exchange. You see, if I traded to get your models, I'd then want to buy yet another lot as replacements for the ones I just traded away!

Then there is the issue of value for trade or purchase. Is Ebay a good way of judging a scarce model's value? If buying a model off somebody on the forum for an Ebay price, why not just buy it from Ebay in the first place? Ditto using GW's store.

Plus, in the case of 'Nids and 'Necrons' the rest of theie armies have to be largely scratch built anyway, so it is even *more* hassle to collect an army for them by trading. In these cases, it is either better to try and get a job lot on Ebay or simply not collect those armies.

At least armies like Dark Eldar are 100% scratch builds from common models, which if nothing else makes them more accessible than 'Nids or Necrons IMHO.

Just my $0.02 anyway, I'll go back to lurking now...
