Um I think I have quite a few Imperial SHT's too. ???
-12 Valhallan (3 Shadowswords, 3 Stormblades, 6 Baneblades)
-6 Tallarn (3 Shadowswords, 3 Baneblades)
-12 Cadian (3 Shadowswords, 3 Stormblades, 6 Baneblades)
-72 unpainted (12 old Shadowswords, 6 new Shadowswords, 12 old Baneblades, 6 new Baneblades, 12 old Stormblades, 6 new Stormblades, 12 old Stormhammers) ?
:o0
Unfortunately I dont have a single FW Stormsword, so can't call myself a true collector......
 ? ?
Cheers

James

You got me beat. I was tracking along fine until you said 72. That killed it for me. You have way more then I do.

Although I do have three custom SHTs being built right now.

Right V?

That is interesting. This seller has just relisted a load of Eldar stuff, including identicle auctions for the Eldar SHTs that I have bought... I will let you know when I get mine. It could be surplus stock... or recasts!

I have just recieved my Scorpion, Nightwings and Phoenix bombers. The look like the originals I already have. The resin type is the same and the casting quality is the same.

I guess it is just a (former) hoarder  :)

Resin? They should be metal?

Mine arrived today, too. I am pretty sure that they are originals, in metal.

My bad, they are metal of course. Same "alloy" I probably ment.

At second glance I did find something strange though. One of the nightwings has "faulty" windows, and some strange jet-blasters/micro-gatlings/something underneath. I'll try to post some pictures.

I have seen those nightwings as well.  Bought a few of them in fact about 5 months ago.  I thought they were just older versions of the Nightwing.  But there were no issues with the cockpit, however.   :80:

Ok, then it is probably just a faulty model with regards to the window in conjunction with a normal variation of the Nightwing.

A comparison of the bottom

Ok it's probably just me or the angle of the photographs but they just look really different size-wise to me  ???

With a bit of photoshop magic here's the two pics superimposed on top of each other. Of course perspective distorts them a bit but is that enough to have the holes for the flying stands sitting so far apart?

I suspect that it might have been a Nightwing variant. After all most models released for Epic40k had a couple of variants released.

That must be the angle, it's easy to distort perspective when getting that close to the model. The only difference I can see other than the ones mentioned is that the two front "spikes" on the "deviant"  :80: Nightwing is set slightly more apart than on the "traditional" variant. Around 0.7 mm difference.

That is great news. I am glad it was not recasts.

How many of the E40k era Cobras/Scorpions do you need? I may have some spare.

Hi James... Any advance on this? Many thanks.
