A while ago I decided to modify most of my Chaos fleet. This included the addition of various converted ships. Here's the first couple of finished results:

A Pre Heresy Heavy Strike Cruiser

Converted Desolator; The Lance Batteries have been modified to reflect the actual ship armament.

Oooh, very nice Warmaster :)

That Desolater reminds me of a Star Destroyer...

WHOA! Great stuff. Especially the top 2 ones.

On Desolator armament, you say to reflect actual weapon stats:
It has dorsal lances? Not in the stats.
The lances point forward, odd, since they are either Left or Right.

But....

It is a FRIGGIN cool model and you should just ignore my silly comments.

edit: You should write an article on how you made these conversions and sent them to Warp Rift. I bet Cybershadow will be very pleased!

Thanks :)

The dorsal turrets are meant to represent the dorsal weapon batteries in the same manner as with the Emperor battleship. But ultimately they're just for show :D

...And speaking of Star Destroyers; I almost forgot:

That light cruiser is my favourite - it'd almost be cute, if it wasn't for the fact it'll be filled with Traitor scum... :D

Nice painting, too - not the conventional Chaos colours, which I guess is the opint as they're pre-Heresy... :confuse:

What colours have you used, if you don't mind me asking?

The most reddish ships are Scortched brown with teracotta and taned flesh highlights.

The paler ones are Scorched brown, Graveyears Earth, Command Khaki.

Could You please post some pictures from the rear?
I would like to see the engines.

Grand battleship really looks nice. Ought to have taken it off your hands as well before when you were selling it. :D
