Been busy turning this 1/32 MiG Fishbed...

Into this...

Its a 40K scale Ork Space Fighta. Bigger n meaner than ya normal FightaBomba, armed with ded 'ard weaponry for assulting BattleShipz n Cruiserz

The fuzalarge was shortened by 5". Apart from a pair of Russ Turrets and some plasticard, all the coversion work just uses parts that came with the origanal kit.

The kit cost me ?15 from my local model shop. A good price I thought for such a large model.
I didnt know wat the kit contained and was pleased to find it included a nicely detailed Jet Engine. I cut it in two and used it on the outside, beefing up the fighta, much better than having it hiden away inside the fuzalarge. Ive used the bombs from the kit to make the kannonz and curved raised bitz around the cockpit.
I reakon the final cost of the build with be about ?20.
Not bad concidering its size, its twice the size of a FW FightaBomba even after shortening it by 5"

Theres a WIP thread over at the Waaagh.

I hate you I really do...

You know why, because you don't live close enough to actually have me beg and plead in person to have some of these awesome models made.

It just hurts sometimes... :D  :p

Really awsome work Kr00za! Do you plan to have it as a lone flyer or have a small squad?

Post subject:  Fighta

Just the one.. a whole squad would be a bit OTT for 40K :;):

I, on the other hand, love you. :D

It's - I don't know what to say - beautiful. ?In an orky way (i.e. a good way!).

I mean, it looked great in the first photos, but the finished piece is awe-inspiring.

Erez the base...

Ive kept it small, its packed full of 2pence peices so its pretty heavy. ;)
The shaft is made from an old screwdriver, tried using coat hanger wire but it wouldnt suport the weight.
It measures 11" long with a 9" wing span.
