In my search for the best 15mm items to add to my odd mix of vehicles, I found a couple of new items (New to me) that would be fun to add. I will need some help with some fo these as I know they deserve a better paint job then I could do.  :;):

Anyway, hope you like them.

The first is a great Aircraft Model in 1/72nd scale.

I just love the lines and the over all look!

The next is a small 1/100th scale Hover Truck kit.

Last is a strange tank kit. It comes with 20 "crew members" who happen to be Pigs. Yes Pigs. Oh and the vehicle mascot too.

Seems it comes from an Anime but I do not know what one.

I can help there - it's a Miyazaki Hayao design - this chap is the guy behind anime such as the Princess Nausicaa and Porco Rosso (the Crimson Pig). The tank comes from a Manga comic which Mr. Miyazaki drew, along with a series of others, for a Japanese modelling magazine. So the tank and its piggy crew only ever appeared in a one-off comic strip, and had a model made. And what a tank.....  :p drool!
Mr. Miyazaki apparently loves 1920s-1940s designs, and bases his own creations on them.

Funny thing, the tank bears rather more than a passing resemblance to Bauhaus "Grizzly" or vice versa, of course,  depending on which was made first.

The manga in question dates back to 1994...

I think that means it predates the Warzone tank by a couple of years... not to mention it's pretty much an evolution of Miyazaki's earlier work.

And Dafrca... if you don't mind me asking who manuctured the hover truck? I don't think I've ever seen that one before...

Incidentally, I havn't mentioned 2 things:
(1) Mr. Heresiarch here had brought this magnificent beastie to my attention in an email some weeks back
(2) I've ordered one (rubs hands!), pigs and all  :p

Oh and for those who may want more info on the Miyazaki tank:

1/72 Bad Guy (Akuyaku 1 Go) All Crew Set (w/20 Pig Crew Figures)
Product #: TACTG-2
Manufacturer: Tasca
Scale: 1/72

And I found the discription and it says:
Re-issue of the Miyazaki-designed Akuyaku 1-go (Bad Guy #1), this time with a full complement of crew members -- including the crew's little mascot. All the same beautifully-molded injection plastic parts are included in the set for a gorgeous tank kit. In addition to the original three figures, four identical runners of piggy crew, plus a fifth additional runner containing the cook, the waiter, two mechanics, and the mascot-pig, are all included.

The plane is 'Superslyph Yukikaze,' from the anime Yukikaze. ?Be warned, the 1/72 scale kit is very expensive, roughly $110 from Hobbylink Japan. ?They also make a 1/100 scale version, which is much less painful, and a pre-made 1/144 version.

Hang on a minute... let me go look those up on the HLJ page.

The 1/72nd scale kit is made by Platz, and is mostly resin. ?Link..

The 1/100 scale Supersylph kit is Injection-molded, produced by Bandai. ?It's a different paint scheme, from a plot in the series. ?Link.

Then there's Mave (should be Mab, but there's some funny translations), the Queen of the Wind: ?

The weird red/black pattern is supposed to be a sensor jammer of some kind. ?I know it sure jams my eyes!

Still 1/100 scale, this kit is also a Bandai injection-molded special. Link.

If you like those shapes, but want something a little smaller, there are also some 1/144 scale pre-finished models put out by a company called Yellow Submarine. ?Link to list. ?

Now, for Tas and his Aeronefs, I bring you the aircraft carrier Banshee IV, in 1/4000 scale:

If you really want one, link. ?It's only $165 worth of resin!

Yep, love the look though.  :D

And no, unless I also had a master model maker ready for the job, I do not buy this kind of kit for me.

But I do love the look.  :;):

Did I say I also like the way it looks?  :p
