Hi all,
I never seem to be able to finish any project, so here's a thread to demonstrate what I'm busy-not-finishing at the moment :p
Starting (paradoxically) with something which has.
Been finished, that is. Years ago - one of the old, old models I'm rescuing from the box at my parents' house.

Tsk. poor pic, that. It's the end of July, too hot to retake it - so here's a different one.

That model must be at least 16 years old.... one of the few survivors.
Here's a model I've had for over 10 years, and which I've finaly decided to complete. No prizes for guessing....  :p

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK:
Well, a nice new find for me. I just love 1920s and 1930s aircraft designs, and these little tubs are grand:

Kudos to NZ ( :D hi Marckonz!) for keeping them flying.

This little fellow is a much more recent design, and is my personal absolute favourite individual aeroplane . 9H-ADU here is the Tecnam P-92J on which I flew 10 remote sensing flights. I was the camera pilot  :p and also redesigned the camera mount we had to fit two cameras.
If you ever get a chance to fly in a small aeroplane - or a helo - take it! Being an airline passenger is miles away.
Must go now before the nostalgia overcomes me... sigh

I will. I got an introductory flying lesson for my last birthday which I will take in a few weeks!

Hm. Scharnhorst? Or Gneisenau? I'm not much of a naval enthusiast so I'm ashamed to admit I have no idea how to tell them apart...

I was leaning towards the Gneisenau but I must admit that I have very little to base that on. I had a Scharnhorst model myself and I don't seem to remember some of the bits around the chimney... although that could just have been a temporary fit.

CHIMNEY?  Good God, Sir! Naval vessels have funnels or stacks.  My grandmother's house has a chimney....

:-)
