This may be a bit of a strange question, but I wonder if anyone has some of those magentic sheets that are used on the underside of bases? If you have, how does it affect the stability? For example, if I put the magentic sheet basing on the underside of the 'foot' of a Vulture flying stand, would it constantly fall over? Thanks. |

Has anybody tired the magnetic tape/steel paper combo? I have been thinking of that to store my plastic infantry stands. Put a strip of magnetifc tape to the bottom of the stand and then some steel paper to the bottom of the storage container. |

I've used "printable magnetic paper" on the bottoms of my new Tau infantry stands. It's pretty weak, but, when placed on a sheet of the same stuff, keeps the figures in place for car rides. I've based all my Tau figures on magnet-related bases as follows: Vehicles on steel washers Infantry on plastic Epic strip bases on top of magnetic paper I've previously used magnets on flying bases to base helicopters, but found that the magnets stick to each other. This is why infantry and vehicles should be weak magnets or just plain iron "magnet targets". Movement and storage trays should be magnetized. |

Thanks for your comments. I am thinking about sticking magnets to under the bottom of the bases of my Gothic ships, but I dont want them to then constantly fall over. I could then transport them easier, or even stick another, larger card under them to give weapons arcs and such... |

I've tried the magnateic tape and it simply wasn't strong enough for my WFB models...If you're going for BFG bases I would use the good magnets and cut them to fit the whole base... |

I've been searching unsuccsessfully for sources in the UK of magnetic tape or paper. Could anyone give me some pointers? I have a load of 1:300 WWII tanks on 2p bases and want to put them in flat plastic carry cases. I figure the magnetic tape / steel paper is the best way to fix them in. Furgie |

Scrub that request - I've just found a note from Maksim pointing to his 6mm Yahoo group with a list of UK suppliers. Source found, local as well! Always impressed by your efforts for the hobby Maksim! Furgie |
