Hi all,
When I posted the news re my owning 2 copies of the EA rulebook (and 2 of Warmaster) I wondered whether I need psychiatric help. As we ad. mech types tend to try to fix stuff ourselves, I looked into my  head and found a beyond-economical-repair situation. So I decided a support group could at least help cosmetically (you know, stopping drooling over tanks or Titans, that sort of stuff) - it's where we all sit down round a - well, round nothing, we just sit on chairs in a circle and tell of our experiences and support each other, and I thought, well, there's someone who paints three colours on 28mm model fingernails, and another who owns millions of tanks and wants to collect mint model boxed sets, and - well, you get the idea.  :-: Maybe it's not just me.
It's a freshly minted case, this - happened this morning. I took the garbage out and found that some litterbug had thrown half a dozen plastic cocktail spoons on the ground. Being a pillar of the society I pick - dash it, no, the ends of these plastic spoons had a decoration consisting of three small rings - Nurgle's mark precisely. I picked them up. I cliped the  'marks' off and saved them. I threw away the rest. I recovered them from the bin. I realised the tiny spoon end would make a good 40K-scale Eldar gemstone. I kept the spoon ends as well... :(

There's nothing wrong with you. You fit in here just fine.

Remember, the majority defines what is normal and I'll bet the majority of people here will think what you did was just fine.

Well, ok, but I still like the idea we are the sane ones and they are the lost souls looking for the Grail of Hobbies.

"A sane man in an insane world appears insane."  :D  I think someone on Star Trek said that ... probably Spock.  ???

Now wouldn't it be wonderful if I were to find Khorne knives, Tzeentchian forks, and Slaaneshi - er - dunno, fish knives?
Dinner set for 6,7,8 or 9, depending on which chaos god you prefer....my cup runneth over..or perhaps it's a grail.

The 40k universe version is: "Only the insane have the strength to prosper. Only those who prosper may truly judge what is sane." Puts a whole new twist to the "Live long and PROSPER" thing, eh?  }:)

This morning I glimpsed a cheap, plastic chandelier poking out of a bin at the trash corner - I stopped, thought a bit, wondered about Epic/gothic/WH possibilities, and left it there. Am I cured? Or am I NOW insane, then?

PS, with hindsight, it looked a bit like the Liberator spaceship from the ancient Blake's 7 series....
