Hey everyone! I just got my hands on the new WD with Epic:A in it!! I've only had a quick glance at these bits up to now, but here is a few things that might take your interest: 1) The composition of the IG Infantry Commpany is printed. It includes - 24 Infantry, 4 Ogryn, 4 Sniper and 4 Officer stands (Officers - Supreme commander, Commander, Commisar) 2) The battle report is Dark Angles vs Orks. Great, I will pick up my copy this week (got to make sure that an issue with Epic sells well, to create the right message). Just dont tell us who wins the Epic report - I like to not know what happens when I read these things!

I'm still awaiting my issue ...  I'm about to go "postal" on my mailperson ... even if it is 0 degrees out there !    Are there any pictures of the new E:A stuff ?

The pics are as follows: 1) In the release pages, there is a pic of every model released. 2) In Jervis' article about Epic:A there is a pic of some Steel Legion and Imperial Fists battling some Orks 3) And the pics in the battle report Cheers Chris |

OK...I'm confused. This is a bit different to the Standard EA IG Company Det of Commander + 12 stands + Upgrades as Req. This would make a "standard" IG Coy the base EA unit(detailed above) plus 2 Inf Platoon upgardes plus 2 Ogryn upgrades plus 2 Sniper upgardes - which is illegal!  Never mind the "officer" stands.Which bllindingly obvious bit have I missed to get so confused? |

That there's 4 sprues in the box, which meant everything had to be supplied in groups of 4 if you were to get full stands (1 ogryn per sprue wouldnt even make 1 stand per box, 2 per sprue would leave you with spares which everybody would complain at - 5 sprues as originally planned per box was too much for the price tag set by marketing). Its what led to all the inconsistencies between the army lists and the miniatures supplied.

Sorry Tas, I should have made that more clear. That is the number of stands for the BOX of IG Infantry, not a composition for the army list. No wonder you were so confused! Cheers Chris |

So these are metal stands of 5 figs each, yes ? Are there any new IG figs or just recast E40K ? I didn't get my issue today and no mail Monday because of Martin Luther King Day and all P.O.s, banks, schools, etc. are closed ... But I'm going to work !

L4 - where have you been man? You need to keep up to date on Epic News.....  The main infantry boxes are re-mastered plastics. Sprues are about half the size of last edition's & contain E40K edition miniatures. Later releases of specialist troops (such as storm troopers) will be in metal (but not cast in strips, on individual round bases like the first AT infantry were!). |
