Thought I would give people the heads up, the N scale aircraft for CAV are no .longer going to be in the game since the scale change to 8mm. As such, many models have gone out of distribution and are direct only. The bonus part here is that they dropped the price on the bigger stuff pretty significantly. I have a lot of the aircraft and I can say they are pretty beefy and a steal at these prices: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Ro ... pot/latest Same can be said for some of the bigger mechs. |

I noticed a few of the aircraft would make good proxies for valkyries; do you know what size they tend to be (or what size those hexagon bases are)? |

the big-scale will be too big, the smaller scale stuff is on the chunky side. i got one to test it out, but the EW stuff make much better valks there's a size comparison for one in my ToEG diary, i use them as bombers. a useful trick is to buy via components, if you dont buy the stalk or base, it comes out noticably cheaper [edit] just checked, i got a fenri, which is a little too big for my tastes, and a kharl, which i am quite fond of[/edit] |

Thanks JTG, very helpful. I'm glad I saw your TOEG thread again, I hadn't seen those stalktanks yet. Great stuff! The EW Valks do look prettier as far as quality goes, it's just that the fan-blade wings are too gynocopter-ish for my taste. |

Onyx uses the Fenri and another in one of his armies as well. It's in the first ten pages of "Some of my armies" IIRC. Red paint scheme. |
