Hi all,
Here are some pics of my latest additions to my eldar fleet. I thought I had some WIP pics, but can't seem to find them. Anyways, the upper detail was sanded off of the hemlocks. The VS has putty (well, actually dental composite) added to the front and top bridges. Green stuff over the lights. The front pulsars were drilled off, and pods added to the sides (from the epic eldar titan arms). The lettering on the wings and prow is freehand.
Thanks for looking,
CF

looks good, I like the break in the colors for the ships helps make them much more interesting than the other cruisers you've painted up.

He painted them (the gems).
He added some with greenstuff.

Thanks everybody,
Yes horizon is right (psyker!!!), the jewels are greenstuff.

Basically, the upper bow guns, the bridge, and other details were sanded off. Greenstuff jewels were hand shaped. The lateral cannon pods were made from the epic phantom titan. More green stuff was added to the bow detail and bridge.

I've just got a new macbook, and trying to find all my pc files from my old computer. When I do, I'll see if i can find some more pics.

THanks,
CF

Haha, thanks. Actually its mainly using the right instruments. This paintbrush helps a lot. Its an 18-0 liner brush. Its designed to hold lots of paint, but allow for controlled thin curves. I use it for all the curvilinear stuff, and for lettering. It is by far my favorite brush. I found it at an art supply store, NOT a hobby store.

I'd love to, but time would prevent this unfortunately.

I think I've got the new mac to work. I'm gonna start painting the final ship in the fleet now. I was planning on entering it into gothicomp, but did not have the time. THe construction is finished, and its quite odd. Its a heavily converted VS, with a split-hull prow and carrier flight deck. I plan to use lots of freehand painting on it, like my ultramarine carrier.
In the meantime, here are some more pics of the fleet - was trying out my lens normally used for work. Its a really close up lens, so gives good detail but not really suited to photographing multiple ships. Couldn't be bothered this time to provide a decent backdrop, so also enjoy looking at my patio table!

Thanks,
CF

=( Are you sure? I have a Ramelis Star Fort that is collecting dust, needs a good paint job and some glue. =)

Btw, A nice patio table it is too! =D

Simply amazing work.

I have a whole NAS fleet for Full Thrsut that I want to send you. Maybe if you find it at your door one day, it may just get painted? :D
