I could only avoid this day for so long.

My daughter 3 and my son 6 have been watching me paint "scary guys" for quite awhile with increasing interest.  Some days they will even watch me paint and offer suggestions on "better" colors to use and ask me "why are you always trying to make the scary guys rusty"?  So when the question came up today of "When do we get to paint scary guys?", I let them pick out 3 colors and have at it.

My daughter is responsible for the one one the left, my son the right.  Nice blending, some NMM, and advanced splatter technique.

If you are really old, you might even recognize these figures.

Nice blending there; and I must be amongst the elderly because I do recall those miniatures.

:agree: Could that even be an attempt at OSL on the right?

Years ago I used to do the same thing with my daughters; they would go to the store with me and I would let them pick out their miniatures then we would sit at a table together and paint.  They had their own paints and brushes to for obvious reasons.

Just never get up and leave the room while the kids are painting, they may finish your miniature for you! LOL

Yeah, supervision is a MUST.

I got up to get more coffee while working on a model.  My daughter had been watching and I came back to her with a load of brassy metallic pigment on both hands.  It was ok till she brushed her hair out of her face and ended up a tad bit more sparkling than most 3-year olds. :sulk:

Those minis are from the ancient '80s-era D&D wizards set by Grenadier.  My first mini boxed set and a good fit for adventures in The Keep on the Borderlands.
