As the British snow storm swept in last week (about 3 inches for those who understand the problems massive amounts of snow can make ![]() So I decided to make a scratch built warlord titan, dedicated to Slaanesh. I have never made anything so big, or structured before, so it is going to be a learning curve for me. I am making the core structure out polystyrene, reinforced with plastic rods, covered in 2mm card, then layers of plasticard and so on. So far I have the main chest built out of polystyrene and I am covering it in card (pics to come). I have yet to figure out how to build supporting legs (I have a rough plan for using ~1†|

I am a dedicated slaaneshi player. In fact when I brought my copy of space hulk I had to swear tgat the termies from the set wouldn't be painted pink, otherwise the staff would kill me. Besdies, it doesn't matter what colour you paint your titans, they are going to be seen from orbit. |

This looks like an awesome project Ragnarok. It will be reat to follow this thread. Being so into Slaanesh, how are you on the Slaaneshi fluff that has existed over the years? |

Being so into Slaanesh, how are you on the Slaaneshi fluff that has existed over the years? I'm getting all confused with all of the retcons that go on. Though in large games in my local store My titan does have a habbit of trying to shoot at allied Khorne units ![]() I have spent the morning writing a data sheet for the Painlord. It has a few special rules, a few more weapons than a normal warlord/banelord and pays an extra 1000pts for the privilage and a below par weapon load. The sonic cannon is what I see a volcano cannon being like. A small blast, but with AP1 and destroyer it adds +2 to the damage roll. |

But good luck with the titan! No joke. When I went out to get the supplies we had about 3mm of snow and the buses were already running slow and I managed to walk faster than the traffic. By the time I walked home traffic was stationary and we had 2" of snow. England can't cope with large amounts of anything. Snow Wind Rain Sun |

Done some work today. Tried wrapping paper around the head to make smooth curves, rather than having to trim polystyene and plasticard.  Didn't work as planned. Built the top castle thing for my AA to sit on.  Needs gaps to be filled and plates added. ![]() As you can see I am using the dual twin auto cannons from planet strike at the moment for the AA. I am very tempted to keep them, instead of the twin linked auto cannons I was planning on using, since I have the models. Though it will make it deadly to aircraft. 8 S8 BS4 twin linked shots. Also started on the engine section at the back ![]() |

I've hit a pair of problems Problem 1: My local modelling supply shop has drastically cut back on the styrene products and now only sells sheets and strips. I was planning on using L shaped pieces to cover up the edges between two sheets, where they don't meet flush. Now I don't know what to use. The obvious choice (to me) is my usual gap filling tool. Green stuff. However that would take forever. The other choice is to search the interweb to find a new supplier. Problem B: I can't find cheap twin linked heavy bolter turrets. I want a style similar to the razorback turret. So when it is placed on a vertical serface it can swivel and pan. Damn the dropping of the bitz service. |

Small update. I have come to realise why I said it would take me 6 to 12 weeks to complete. I am spending my time sitting around waiting for things to dry. I green stuffed the gaps in the top box 3 hours ago and the green stuff hasn't cured enough for me to trim it to shape. I am tempted to use something like poly filler in future, so it doesn't need to be trimmed to shape once it is dry. I have also started on de boxifing the Main bidy with smaller boxes to change the geometry of the shape. As well as starting on the AML. I need the strips of polystyrne to dry so I can box them in with sheet card. The missiles are made form 5mm doweling rod, with the missile points made by using a pencil sharperner! ![]() On future constructions I have found two sources of twin heavy bolters. Foregworlds twin heavy bolters for razorbacks and GW's land raider terminus conversion kit The FW version is £2 more expensive, and the GW version comes with a load of extra hvy bolters and las cannons. So I now need to decide on detail and an extra tenner Vs. some extra I might one day use. I have also had an idea for making the titan's tails. Originally I was going to have two different thickness of hollow plastic tubing and slot small sections together. Then I had a brain wave. Shower hose. It is a fexible metal tube. ~I can use a hack saw to cut to length then fill it with expanding foam to make them keep their shapes. The only possioble problem is the weight, put multiple deep pins should hold it together. Finally, I have recently been distracted (I know I have only been working on the project for a week). Firstly by the desire to make a knight from a defiler. Secondly by Carnage. adoubles fanatsy tornie in mid feb. A friend and myself are thinking about enetering a chaos dark elf ring/puppet combo army, so I will be spending some of my time testing various army lists, rather than building Samael Ascendant. |

Try Squires Model and Craft Tools, they have a very good selection of plasticard and other stuff and I've ordered from them a number of times in the past. Nice titan ![]() |

I would go with the Terminus Ultra Kit. It is the Razorback sprue, and the Predator Sponson sprue. It IS a razorback turret. Plus the turrets fit any Planetstrike emplacements you may have laying around. ![]() |
