Its nice but since you expect citicism...

Its doesn't look that 'big'. Maybe its the the highlighting on each panel that makes the model appear more fixed in my minds eye? A different you must have seen is here

The model is a poorer quality than the otters and the paint job must have been a nightmare. I don't know if such a thing can be done on the cruiser as maybe the detail would spoil the effect?

Hell maybe all it needs is a few banks of windows, but of course what idiot puts windows on a warship? :)

Nice model and paint job. I actually thought the ship was supposed to be flipped 90 degrees, but either way looks really nice.

To follow up on TRCs suggestion: One trick to give an impression of size is to use slightly muted colors. We usually percieve very large objects from a certain distance so haze and other athmospheric phenomenon tend to fade the colors slightly. Take a photograph of a city skyline as an example and otice how objects further away usually aren't as vibrant. Of course they're objects themseles are not technically that color, but this is how we're used to viewing these things so it can be a usefull trick to apply. Actually I think GHQ recommends this when painting their small scale warships too.

Finished the commision :-)

This time with a fleet carrier for Starfire:





Taking into account what WMN and TRC said i tried to get an impression of size again, mixed in some grey for muting this time but gotta say the blending nearly drove me insane: having so much flat surface meant that I wanted to have something that helped it to stand out...anyway, the above two ships will be flying over the atlantic pretty soon so I can only hope that their owner is ahppy with them :-)
