I have had my eye on the Aeronef rules for ages now, and finally downloaded the PDF rules the other week. I was quite happy with how they read through so ordered some models from Brigade Models. The service from Brigade was excellent and I soon had some lovely models in my paws. The models are now painted up and ready to go. ![]() More photos are here - http://www.firezonestudios.com/blog/?p=1307 |

Aeronef is one of those games that periodically tempts me. I'm sure either Vanvlak or Tas will chime in about the virtues of Aeronef. ![]() |

It looks interesting but i'm going to hold off until I see the new Monsters in the Sky by Catalyst before I decide to grab up either game. |

Easy to play (I got the hang of it first game), blends in with Land Ironclads and Aquanef.... and very periodic. I am not familiar with the rules of Monsters in the Sky; the models should be grand if they are anything similar to the artwork. The difference in style between the two is that Aeronef is more pre-1900 whilst Monsters is definitely post-1900. Phil - I agree about Brigade, they provide excellent service. And nice paint job there. Now you need to paint an enemy fleet  ![]() ![]() ![]() Later - had time to see the blog - ah, you DO hava an enemy fleet ![]() Next - Land Ironclads!!! ![]() |

The idea of Aeronef sounds cool. But the models have always seemd to me to be lacking detail. That is why I am intrigued by CGL's forthcoming Leviathans where their skyships look as if they will be larger and more detailed. Cheers James |

Leviathans are supposed to be 1/1200th scale (same as Aeronef), but since most of the WW1 era battleships were some 500 feet long, they'll be 5 to 6 inches long in model form. |
