Some pics of my figs for Legends of the Old West.  Most of the figs shown are part of my "Slippery Slope Gang" Outlaw Posse in our local campaign.  Figs are a mix of Foundry, Dixon, Artisan, with couple other odds and ends. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are a couple pics from our last campaign game night, we came up with a multi player scenario that took place in a gold mine.  For the gold mine we used our modular cavern set with some timber roof supports, mine carts and track, supply stacks and some other pieces to give it a nice look. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More pics of the "Shootout at Tower Mine" can be found here in Terrain Specialties photobucket. |

Wow. I never thought much of the 'Old West' genre of miniatures, but your display does much to change my mind. Edit - Sorry, that sounded kind of condescending. Obviously, no genre of miniatures is inherently better than another, as such things are very subjective matters of taste. I really like the skill and artistic sensibility exhibited here. |

Thanks all for the postitive comments. The cavern set has performed well over the years providing interesting terrain for Battletech, Battlesystems, Warhammer 40K & Fantasy, Mordheim, Inquisitor, LOTOW, and as soon as I get some ramp pieces made, a cool Epic board. @widgren, I've found LOTOW to be a very good game system. It's based on GW's Lord of the Rings game engine if you hadn't heard that already. It plays fast and easy, and provides a great cinematic Old West feel. The Mordheim style campaign system lets you advance your gang and gives the game even more character. @O-man, no worries, honestly I wasn't all that interested in the Old West genre either until I played an in store game of LOTOW and got hooked. Besides, if everyone liked exactly the same things, life would get pretty boring. |

Awesome terrain! I've played the game a few times. You don't need many figures, but you really need to invest some serious time and/or money into the terrain for it I think, as pictured... of which that is a great example! |
