Ok, what, if any, 28mm drop ships do you guys use/own?

Wizkids did an Aurora for their Mech clix game, not sure if it's still around though.

Also, before they dissappeared (again) the Figure Trader had an awesome 28mm resin drop kit.

I also think Mongoose made a Starship Troopers one too right towards the end of their miniature making career.

Another good source is GI Joe toys and the like.

No, later they sold it through stores and in the end it lost it's "exclusive LE" status as you could get them quite easy. The real issue was the cost. It was outside the price range of most folks. Still is often when found on ebay and the like.  

What I am interested in is what are people using. I have found most of the ships out there, but I am interested in what are people using if anything.

Well, nothing for now, but I may use some GW plastic drop pods in the future, and will do it immediatly if something for chaos hits the shelves.

Some day, when the vast storage spaces I dream of are opened to me, I am going to build one as big as a 28mm scale Imperial Space Marine Lander.... some day...

Scratchbuilt, of course, so it will look a lot like a vacuum cleaner, that should be the right size...

I love a lot of his models, but I am all thumbs when it comes to the paper models. But I agree, his stuff is wonderful.

I go to the plumbing aisle of my favorite hardware store for some PVC, copper fittings, and hanger iron strips.

Then check out aisle 7 for electrical bitz.

Scoot ovar to the drawer pulls and watch for the mark-down cart.

Some beads,tubing, and a plunge into the grubbins bin in my workshop.

Make something cool for drop ships in an assembly line fashion.

Rustoleum has some advance spray paint to adhere to anything, even PVC, and a mish-mash of media.

For what it's worth, uh, free advice = $0, heh.

Do you have any photos of one of these Drop Ships you have done?

I would love to see how it turned out.
