That's awesome, a nice paintjob to go with some awesome old models.

You need to put the magos on the same base so he's whispering in the patriarch's ear though!!

Thanks :)

For the throne, it's a base coat of dwarf bronze, with 1 coat of heavily diluted scaly green wash, one of hawk turquoise, then a drybrush of bazen brass. Details are made with gold + brown ink, highlited with gold+silver, and gems.
The horns are deneb stone base + brown wash, then bone & white highlight.

The magus is ready but on a separate base.
I'll change the patriarch's base when i'll find a cool industrial looking one.

Because Space Hulk also has planet-based scenarios, I'd say.

Planet based scenarios, when did this happen?  I only played v1 but never saw any such scenarios.


The Patriarch does look good though.  Look at a nice industrial resin base from Epicast, I love those for my Necromunda minis.

V1 expansion set 'Deathwing'  - they were still in tunnels and stuff, but you could always have an underground conservatory sort of thing. :)
