Hi all,

I'm new here and, as an introduction, I wanted to show you some of my recently adquired Tau ships.

So far I've only painted three Wardens and three Castellans:



And here with some engine effects and space background:




P.S: Sorry if the pics are too big, I tried to put a thumbnail link to the images but I didn't achieve it... If they are too big just tell me and I will edit the post to put the link instead of the image.

Those are absolutely beautiful! :O
Excellent job!

I especially like the progression of the light blue to dark blue on the wings of the smaller ships.  Was this done with a wash/glaze or airbrush?

Can't wait to see more,

I'm posting my advances in a blog.  It's in Spanish but it has quite a few pics (Preparation, Protector modifications, ordnance markers...):

I especially like the progression of the light blue to dark blue on the wings of the smaller ships.  Was this done with a wash/glaze or airbrush?

It is just watered paint and quite a few layers to achieve smooth transitions. I'm trying to take pictures of the "making of" as I paint the three remaining Castellans.

I'm really curious how this turns out on a larger ship.
I really want to paint the larger ones but I'm trying to force myself not painting them until I finish the escorts. This way I have a reason to keep painting the escorts as it's quite boring painting so many ships of the same type.

By the way I had seen your ships in Warp Rift 14, I really like them but the picture seems to ruin the painting. I have seen other pictures where they seem to be blue and white but in this picture they seem to be just white.

By the way, regarding Gothicomp, if it was held in 2008, could I apply for it even if I have shown the ships here or the entries shouldn't have been published before?

Thanks on my paintjob, above pic is indeed crappy, here's the better one (but I still need to improve).

I like your idea on the Emissaries (blog).

I always paint simultaneus (sp?).

And, yes, you may still enter them into a 2008 competition. You could hold a model back....

Picture size is fine.  Don't worry about thumb nails, I am sure everyone appreciates being able to see the details up close.

Those are amazing!

Nice work on the blog as well, despite the fact that I can't even read it you have done all the diagrams and pictures so clearly and logically set out that you can pretty much get a really good idea anyway.
