Nice fleet... what type gold are you using on your ships? |

Phew - VERY nice, BH. Just one suggestion - not to make them better, because, they're grand already, just something different: a spot of flesh wash carefully applied to the gold bits gives them a burnished appearance, and a slightly richer colour. Nice choice of colours too ![]() |

Thanks! Gold... Dwarven Bronze!! Don't know if they still have it. Plus mine hass dried up at least 8 times. Water still ressurects it. So it is really watered down. In the past I used chestnut ink (on the Flame of Asuryan for example) over the bronze. Flesh wash could be an option. Thanks! |

Thanks guys! ( I guess I will field these ships whenever I'll play Mark Logue....... heh heh). Let down ![]() I varnished them..... and I like them! Maybe I'll 'fix' the last 2 Wraithships.... I think the Dragonship (2nd pic) is one of my better BFG miniatures. Would even say I'm more proud of the end result as on the Custodian which I immensly love. The 'clean' blue: primed (spray) white * regal blue, couple of very watered down layers. This creates a good deep blue colour. * watered down enchanted blue to start a lighter layer. * enchanted blue along the sharp edges, or watered down to increases the rich lighter blue colour on the flat surfaces. The applying a watered down lighter colour over a darker colour is a technique I frequenlty apply. |
