Nice tank -and twin-linked mega bolter sounds nasty; but aren't they far too small to be Titan weapons? Compare them to - uhm - the tanker's head? |

(vanvlak @ Sep. 10 2007,19:32) QUOTE Nice tank -and twin-linked mega bolter sounds nasty; but aren't they far too small to be Titan weapons? Compare them to - uhm - the tanker's head? The Warhound Vulcan is actually twin linked so if you removed the gun casing and much of the ammunition and aiming equipment from the titan weapon I suppose it's about the right size. One thing that always bothered be a bit though, is that the Epic version of the FW warhound had a different style Vulcan than then 40k scale. The Epic version looks more like a pair of Boltguns glued together... Nice model although I sometimes question werther it is really necessary to mount every single weapon type in 40k on every single tank chassis type... |

Heresy! I wish I was at home so I could measure the Warhound plasma gun vs. the Stormblade plasma gun. Their stats are the same (2xMW2+, slow) but I have a visceral memory of the stormblade cannon being larger... |

Answering own question: The Stormblade weapon is approximately 20 mm long, 8 mm wide, 3 mm thick. Total volume 480 cubic mm. Warhound, approximately 25 mm long, 6 mm wide, 4 mm thick. Total volume 600 cubic mm. So, memory is fleeting... |

I've a couple of spare warhound weapon systems (long story) and I was planning on getting a couple of baneblades and mounting a plasma blastgun and a VMB on them. I guess it's got a name now... |
