Except for a few highlights, I finished the Cyclops I've been working on. I hadn't glued on most of the parts yet to make it easier to paint. Now that it's completely assembled it looks pretty good. My Squat army is starting to shape up, at least in terms of metal minis. This year I've managed to paint 1 Land Train and 4 Battlecars, 3 Goliaths, 2 Thunderfires, 3 Iron Eagles, 1 Colossus, 1 Leviathan and 1 Cyclops. I'm going to try to tackle some infantry light artillery next.

About 85% complete with my I-Titan Mk.L4 - Charlie One-Three. It/He came out a little "brighter" than I planned... A nice Prussian Blue-Gray ... Pics to follow in the future.

Getting the bases ready to be primed is taking me longer than it did to paint the figures. :grr:
Edit (25 June): Ok, 4 stands of Andrayada infantry done. If I can get my webcam to cooperate I'll put up a pic when the sealer is dry.

Started Drake's book "Ranks of Bronze" ... pretty darn good as usual ! ?Drake's understanding of history and soldiers, makes his works very good reads, IMO. ?He bring together some interesting themes/ideas. ?Carrhae, 53 BC, Crassus's Legions are destroyed by the Parthians. 10,000 Romans are made slaves, including the remnants of Legio X(10th Legion). Sold to what turns out to be aliens. And these aliens use them to fight wars through out the Galaxy(?). The catch is "the rules of engagement" - the aliens can't use a higher tech level force, then who they are attacking. So the Romans fight against "aliens" at their tech level ... And they are immortal ... Nuff said ! ? After seeing all 3 seasons of HBO's ROME, I can't help seeing the main characters, Centurion Varenus and Legionary Pullo in "Ranks of Bronze" ! ?Even if they were from Legio XIII ! Liked the Book and liked ROME ! ?

In the space of five minutes I decided I would try Warmaster again, decided on High Elves, and bid on a bunch of them on ebay.
Warmaster because of the new Mighty Empires stuff and Tuffskull's Bretonnian diorama influencing my love of tiny scale models, probably. ?But High Elves? ?I have no idea why. ?They're pretty far down on the list of 'armies/races I want to collect'. ?All very strange.
But then I get to try and sculpt a 10mm dragon for myself...
Maksim: nice stuff! ?Impressive collection. ?Is that a Reaper wraith I see in the top pic?
If you're still looking for sources of undead minis, I strongly recommend Heresy Miniatures' selection, which has been built up recently. ?He has a couple of sets of zombies and flesh golems too, that don't seem to be included in that section.
Lots of cleavage in tight bodices, overly fried foods guaranteed to give indigestion...
Not too much wrong with that... is there?
EDIT: oh, and if we're talking about books too, I discovered Philip K. **** last week. I've got two short story anthologies at the mo, and I'm greatly enjoying them.

Hi Vermis,
Cool! I like 'ol Phillip K.
And, yes, there are a number of Reaper pieces in my undead collection.
Shabbat Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Just finished (about 99%, still have to spray with clear flat in the morning) C-1-3, my converted I-Titan ... Actually C-1-3 was done days ago. But I used a CD as a base. And spent time filling up the space around the I-Titan ! Pics to follow soon !

Charlie-One-Three is complete ! I added a few things to the base - a couple of slow running Orks between his toes, a smoking Tire from an Ork B/wagon, a Gargant's damaged Soopa Lifta-Droppa arm and a dud Ork "VEE WUN" ... close miss, but not close enough ! Ha ha !

Worked on some CAV stuff for my wife's force. Kept the Same khaki, green, dark brown camo pattern on them. Got the camo completed on two APCs and about 2/3 done on a CAV.

'Molly' the Dragon needs more time. For easy in between I'm painting A BFG Tau Explorer.
