Finished the Mars battlecruiser, started on a Forge World rocket launcher support sentinel.

The last picture should show why I'm dubious about mounting the launch bays in the rear on this hull.

Whatever your doubts, I like it Dysartes - and, as ever, the painting style. :D

Nice job D. I like the Rouge Trader much better without the aerials though I must say that I'm still no fan of the wings. The Launch Bays don't look that bad Making the bays "slimmer" shouldn't be much of a problem if you remove them and trim off or sand some of the inner part though.

Cheers! :)

I didn't get to work on hose Shadowswords yesterday.
Discovered that the cat has fleas so besides spraying most of the apartment I also had to give that little monster a bath! For those who don't know cat's will give a Bloodthirster a run for it's money when you  try to dip them in water (cats not bloodthirsters... erh... Don't know if Greater Daemons ever shower... I suspect that Grerat Unclean oones dont..... ah... now I'm rambeling...) Anyway: I survived with only a few scratches on the arms but the cat's been acting kind of insulted afterwards! :p

Anyway with cats and fleas taken care of I hope to be able to do some work later today.

Cheers! :)

Warmaster, try Frontline anti-flea drops - expensive, but a couple of drops on their nape will leave cats flea-free for a couple of months. Rampaging wet bloodthirsters are not good news! I've found it to work very well - and I also want to see pics of the Shadowswords! :p

Hah, got there before me eh Vanvlak, yup, Frontline is great stuff and the cats hardly even notice it's application, a major boon.

Thanks for the advice guys. Got the stuff so hopefully the cat will stop scratching herself in a couple of days. She's gotten a small hairless patch near the neck because of all the scratching. Luckily the wound hasn't been infected.

I painted the Shadowswords this afternoon. Maybe I'll add a bit of shading to the lights but apart from that I'm pretty satisfied. While I was at it I also drybrushed my Cadian Leman Russ company. Hopefully I can start detailing those in a couple of days.

Cheers! :)

WM, I think you shouldn't apply it to a wounded area - check the package!

PS - tanks for the thank pics  - er - other way round, anyway...  :p

WMN- nice!! Are those beauties from FW?
They scrub up real good!!
:D
What with your manticores that you showed us recently- when do we get to see a group shot? Or do you still have fair amount of Epic IG to do?

Cheers

James

Dysartes

Pics look great as usual.

Still don't get what you mean about launch bays. I prefer them at the back do that ship is tapering towards the front- it looks sort of less wind-resistant. I know wind is not a big feature in space but still.

Whenever I have put Imperial launch bays at the front of cruiser they look, to me, too front heavy.

Cheers

James

I'll probably want to finish off a bit of infantry before I'll do a group shot of the Cadians. However the force is steadily growing. Today I've done most of a Leman Russ company (mix of mk2 and E40k era models) which only need some detailing. At the moment it is at something like 2 RT companies, the Russ company, 3 Baneblades and 3 Shadowswords.

Cheers! :)

Here's the Russ'es.
I think a few details needs to be touched up. Strange how these things show up so easily on camera! :D :p
I haven't quite figured out what to put on the Command Tank banner so for now He'll look as thopugh he want to surrender :-D

Now for a company of Grunts.

Cheers! :)

Lovely set of tanks WmN, very nice indeed.
Yes, it is strange that the camera seems to show up funnies etc that you had not noticed on the minis themselves, quite a few times I've been pleased only to take a photo and end up have repainting the mini in question.

The tanks are pretty cool, WMN.

Basecoated the first bit-marine and the parts on the Champion that need repainting. Flaws came out on the Bit-Marine model that I was not aware of before. Oh well, it's not like that miniature was supposed to be perfect anyway.

Completed last episode of Bloodrayne in the "hardcore" style. Took me a long time and many attempts, but finally I made it.

Thanks. I've been correcting some of the mistakes this afternoon and added some extra detail to a bunch of other artillery.
I also grabbed the bull by the horns so to speak and painted up a company worth of Cadian Infantry. 30 stands + 2 command models to conform with Netepic standards (I still frown upon those ridiculous 12 stand E:A companies :p ) The result is less than impressive but the company is made up of old models I got in an E-bay deal which I couldn't strip properly of paint. The consequesnce is that all models are covered in a rather thick layer of paint and the bases are covered in thick gravel which I think is glued on with Epoxy cement! Oh, well I have two more companies of nice paint-free models which await my brushes.
Anyway: Here's a rather bad pic of the models. I hope to be able to do something to those bases later tonight so with a bit of luck I'll have a group shot of the Cadian stuff up later.

Cheers! :)
