Thanks! As I said, these last two were much more intensive due to the accent tan mishap. In the end I think the turned out far more interesting than the first two with the added metal bits being more prominent. Any thoughts on the plans for the remaining lances and the clan stars?

I would love to see a painted Vulture, clan wolf in urban camo with red, dark red, and grey as the colors. Or just a vulture any colors with the cockpit shaded in colors of red. Vulture is my favorite clan mech. Then the madcat I, Atlas is by far my favorite IS mech, As7-d. Wolf hound is an awesome mech... but i only really like it from the battletech cartoon from when i was a kid. Also the Mauler was pretty freaking sweet aswell.

After much craziness and lost time (it disappeared I tell you! didn't matter the size or complexity, the white layer took 2 hours on each mech and I've no idea why!) I'm done with the Lyran Guard lance commission. It was a quick commission, more painted to tabletop quality, and it is a cannon scheme. I decided to actually pull out the terrain for these shots just to match the whole battletech thing a bit more for the client. They also need a coat of varnish when the weather clears.

i really like the 1/3 and 2/3 colour scheme, very different from the 1/2 and 1/2 that is commonly seen and it looks great!

Always thought the King Crab was a weird cookie.

They all look amazing though, worth the time spent in my opinion.

Thanks! I really don't have enough terrain painted up to use it for photos. I've got no flat field bit painted up and flocked to set stuff on and no forests finished either. This is a combination of two GW modular hills and a regular one set up at all kinds of odd angles to get it to look mostly right.

Personally, I dislike all of the mech designs in this group, but it's what the client wanted and what was sent.

I with you on not really liking the look of the actual sculptt of those metal figures, but congrats on the paintjjb- they all look great.

(I find myself disliking the look of most scuplts in BT model range after 3025-3050. I do like most of the reseen sculpts so not a total BT grognard, but I am sticking to the 3025/3050 stuff for my own collection).

Cheers

James

Don't mean to hijack your thread with this question Vaaish, but i was wondering where one could find info on Battletech? Is the game in production still? Or is it completely dead? Is there a home for it like Epic here? I owned a lot of Battletech when i was younger, favorite mech AS7-D Atlas. Favorite clan mech was the Vulture with 2 large pulse 2 medium pulse and 2 LRM-20<or maybe they where LRM-15>. But yeah your thread has got me wanting to slap some paint on a lance.

Thanks,
Blind-

Well, there seems to be a thriving internet community on Lords of the Battlefied and the official Catalyst Games forums. There's also active production on models and reprinting of the TRO's and rulebooks. Of course, in my case, finding someone who knows how to play or plays at all is difficult but you might have more luck on that front.
