That is shaping up superbly WMN! I cant wait to see it finished! I think you hit on an excellent blend between diorama realism yet maintaining playability and being able to get minis and stands in there - a very difficult thing to achieve indeed
I really like the canal - I had always planned on having one when I get around to my cityfight terrain. Though I had always planned on a tiled geomorphic arrangement of city bloak tiles, and a seperate moveable canal section.
The detritus of battle around your board looks just excellent - well up to your usual top notch standard!

How good is this chemical plant for epic terrain?

It will be a large center piece. The small box we looked at was clearly 25mm in scale and looked it.

One of my ongoing cunning terrai plans was to build a large hydro dam complex that along one short table end would be a big cliff and damn wall (with a large walkway accross it, large enough for a Titan guardian up there, and "Dambusters" style Flak towers), then a hydro electroic comlex at the bottom with a big maze of pipes in that kind of style.
The enemy has to assult through a series of fortifications and try to take the damn and the hydro compelx out. Of course, it gets particularly nasty for the deefender is the dam weall breaks....
It would be a great demo game, but its currently filed in the "when I retire" timescale

Of course that is if I can find my card reader.

I've been painting away on the Company Champion again. Once back I liked that miniature a lot. Right now I'm not so sure anymore. I'll definitely have to replace these sloppy backpack wings with something better. They make the entire miniature look like cr*p.
Meanwhile, Bolter and Chainsword continues to abuse my copyright. Despite sending them the second warning message yesterday, there was no action nor reply. I am merciful enough to let the week pass, sending them new warning messages at the right points. But if they will not remove my property until then, I will not hesistate to use any and all means at my disposal to stop them doing so.

My grandmother was quite happy to hear I passed the exams. So happy that she actually sent me a financial gift. Most of which was quickly transformed into a box of Storm Claws, one of Vampire Counts Skeletons and Iron Warrior Warsmith blister.
When I opened the Storm Claws I found out that the Space Marine Backpack sprue was missing and an extra Assault Arms sprue was there. Guess I'll have to buy a few second-hand backpacks, then.
Finally some reply from the other B&C admin I contacted yesterday. He said that as soon as I supply him the image URL's he will remove them. So the list went to him in 15 minutes from when I read his email. I had to register another account on that board to get the URL's, though. Not something I wanted to do. But then, this account will never be validated and thus never used.

I'm still battling with my health & not up to full speed. I am, however, still getting some painting done & whats more, since I've not been out much I've spent what non-working hours I've had where I've felt up to it working on something for my own cabinets at last!
Its still a WIP, and seems to be taking forever for a not-so-amazing model, but I thought I'd post pics as I had theoppertunity to take some
