When I got back home, I immediately went to pin the Callidus together. Process went quite well, par that I have broken the finest drill from the set. :(  Fortunately, I managed to complete the work without it.

I had no idea that it was going to be the worst night of my life... :( :( :(

I have put my PC back together, taking notes that the clock frequency was set below the optimum parameter (was 3x33Mhz, could be 2x50Mhz) and the GPU was from the beginning plugged into the last PCI port. I also took note that the IDE ports supported 32-bit transfer rate, which was disabled in the BIOS.

After installing the HDD back in, I found myself with two bootdisks for W95. With trial and error I nailed the right one.

Then I noticed that the PC was running kinda slow... came out that I have connected the Turbo switch wrong way round. Disconnected it, everything was OK.

At least until WinDoze displayed Blue Screen Of Death while loading.

Critical error something.

Booting in pure DOS mode told me that it was something wrong with XMS. Ooookay lady, let's get on to it...

One of the SIMMs was damaged. Unfortunately for me, it was an 8MB one, leaving me with 3x8MB, 24 MB total instead of 32. It also came to light that my motherboard could support three  memory chips and some other unusual RAM configurations.

Okay, this done. Booting my PC back up in DOS mode to check the RAM proved that everything worked neatly. However, the computer no longer detected the CD-ROM drive...

Quick cable check told me that everything was working properly.

Relaunch. Windows booted okay, but it came out that I have connected the COM ports incorrectly. Shutdown. Relaunch.

*BEEEEP*. Nothing. Repeat.
*BEEEEP*.

Several *BEEEEP*s later, I have found in the manual what I have feared. It could inidcate memory refresh circuitry damage or CPU damage. Either way, a fatal error.

+++DATE: 13102004+++
+++TIME OF DEATH: 0:45 AM+++
+++CAUSE OF DEATH: EXPIRY OF CRITICAL CIRCUITRY+++
+++FUNCTIONED FOR: 9 YEARS 10 MONTHS+++

That's it. I'm without hardware and funds to afford a new one. S*** happens.

Today I have finally found a place to buy PVA glue, bought a small saw that will come in handy in regards to miniatures and got three cheaper replacement drills for the Pin Vice.

Well, this means I won't be able to do any updates to my site for quite a while...

There is a chance that a mainboard we have at bureau will suffice for a while, but slim one.

Yesterday evening I went to pinning together the female crusader. As for the Callidus, with a while of extra drilling and about 3 or so cm of brass wire I finally have the flying ponytail I wanted to get on the model.

My glasses just went apart and are holding in one piece only due to prodigious amounts of superglue. Ouch.

Arrrghhhh, I wish FW would hurry up.....

T5H, sounds like everybody is out to get you at the moment, computer, drill bits, glasses... they say things come in threes so hopefully that's going to be it.

I painted this using the Daemonhunters, there is a guide for colours and its for the justicar and a terminator.  I hope to get another pic of a terminator and a finished stand of GKs for Sunday the latest.  I planning on painting this whole evening but I am painting kroot as well as GKs at the moment. Hence sunday being the latest for pics.  I hope to take a few notes for incoming's next issue if possible.

excellent models though, detail is so small it does your eyes in  :l
