After getting my painting table clear for the first time since moving a couple of years back, I have spent the last 2 weeks pinning & gluing Trollbloods & Skorne warpacks for Hordes plus fixing some of my LOTR figures.
Then over the weekend I started painting- I have basecaoted some LOTR Uruk Hai- now I just need to pop into GW for some dark flesh paint.
Because I such a gaming butterfly flitting from one project to the next I normally try to be disciokined and stick rigidly to painting one unit at a time. However this is one of the reasons that painting takes me so long as I find an excuse to do something other than paint.
This time I have decided I am better off accepting my butterfly nature and to keep the painting flowing. So over the weekend I dug out a Warmachine Cygnar battlebox that I had undercaoted two years ago. I have done the sand on bases and started the base coats.
Whilst I was waiting for paint to dry I assembled some Flames of War US Shermans and cleaned up somne Silent Death fighters.
Nothing finished so no pictures, but at least I feel I am making progress.
Cheers
James

They look great. Is that flying/grav vehicle a scratchbuild? Also, what's the walker in the background? Sentinel of some sort?

Love the PFU shirt on the sniper. Do you have the reflective "A" on the back as well?
My next order of Pig Iron troopers will definitely have the visored heads. I didn't like the eyes on the open helmed ones.

Thanks, guys. Sorry, the "A" on the back of the PT shirt was after my time. I'm an old geezer, 40 years old later this year!

Yes, me too ! I got out in '90. And the Gray PT uniform was only a few years old then. Back then every Company had their own T-Shirt color & design and we had bright yellow gym shorts. When I started training in '75, the PT Uniform was "Fatigues and Boots" !

If it's any consolation the IPFU (the current pt uniform) came out when I was at about 8 or 9 years time in service (first enlisted in'93). If nothing else, those old gray sweatpants were great for lounging about the barracks with a hangover on saturday morning.

I still have my Gray PTU Sweats with zipper hoody, and 2 Army Ts, but our's didn't have the Big "A" on the back. Of course they don't fit any more ! Oh BTW, my current project is to finally paint all my Epic infantry. This may take some time ! SMs/Traitor SMs, IG(all types), Orks & F/Orks, Eldar, Squats, 'Nids & CSM/Cultists. All my Tau AFVs, Infantry, etc, are SIB ! As are my DRM & E/W ! I hope I live long enough to complete this mission !
