Looks great Jimbo, well done.
Personally I think that using the coloured lichen stuff for model railways gives an excellent look to jungle/wooded boards- it looks more natural than many model trees you can buy in my opinion.
I've spent a few hours today sorting the De'Aynes update; it is pretty much done now, I'll complie a list and update the thread later today when I get home.

Very well done Jimbo. I love the way you think. Wish I had:

and
b) The Space
You rock!

I have now added some more foliage using a rougher Woodland Scenics flock and some lichen as a base to give it some depth.
I have based the look on real places and this was based on Cheddar Gorge.

As for *talent*, nice of you to say so, but anyone can do this, honest. A lot of the work on the scenery was done by my son (with some help from me). I am hoping that the step-by-step guides should help others wanting to do something similar.
A lot of my inspiration comes from others, Stormy's snow scenery is excellent and really inspired me.
As for space, a garage with roof space is useful.

Isn't Cheddar Gorge the world HQ of Warhammer players?

The Celestian is progressing. Backpack done (looks great, BTW), breast armor painted (also looks nice and I even managed to cram a fleyr-de-lys on the left breast. Also the Bolter casing has been a bit improved.

It almost looks like bark. | It's cork bark.
My local Garden Centre sells it in their reptile part of the store for snake and lizard cages.
Took some more pics will upload later today.

Garden centres! Good stuff, a potential source I'll note that down!
I've seen it for sale in model shops, but its usually rather dear, and I'm after a few good chunks to continue snowy scenery...
cheers J

Here is how it the grassy scenery is currently looking.

I have now added some more foliage using a rougher Woodland Scenics flock and some lichen as a base to give it some depth.

In case you wondering where the lichen is, using I brush I cover it in PVA white glue before adding some more Woodland Scenics.
This is a picture of my Ork Skorcha in the morning sun.
