Quote (kr00za @ 22 Feb. 2006 (19:32)) | Those new trakkz habe worked out great. U undercoat in white? Whyz that? I always use Black. |
I used white on this machine for two reasons:
1. when using certain colours, they cover better when using white than using black, especially some of the lighter browns
2. I had run out of black spray paint.
Check out my Grot Bomb Article on my website which shows how in the past I have used different undercoats even on the same vehicle.

The hull I actually undercoated the top white and then undercoated the bottom black...
It worked well, I used the same trick with my Skorcha

Nice work Jimbo. I like the double undercoat scheme of things too - the skellies below have black u/c except for the shields, which started off white. Which brings me to the point - Mordheim tonight, and here's my third, and brand new, warband - following the Skaven and the Vampires, here's the War Party of the Lord of The Two Lands (grandiose buggers). These are the skeletons. The Lord himself is Mr Mum seen a few posts ahead of this. The name of the band is one of the titles used by Pharaohs, referring to Upper and Lower Egypt. This lot want to be lords of Khemri and Everywhere Else - that's two lands, see.... (must make coffee...)

After that cheerful looking lot (they do seem happy, waving their spears about and grinning), a more dour pair who are even older than the skellies above. These twins are part of an old, old set, one of the early Warhammer regiments with 20-ish metal models. These are the ORIGINAL Cursed Company (not the more recent ones released 3 or 4 years ago). These represent Grave Guard - I figured a self-respecting Tomb Lord would get mercenaries to fight for him, even if they're undead mercenaries. Hence the very un-Egyptian - er - Khemirian - chain mail. The weapon is a bardiche-guisarme, according to the box!

A much younger Khemrian, and a nasty piece of work (he's nabbed al the king's gold, it seems). The Liche, a bit too tall for my taste, and looking like he's doing a number out of Grease. Still - here he is.
EDIT: Nope, sorry, looks more like 'Pirates of Penzance'.....

(To the tune of "I am the Pirate King" from Pirates of Penzance")
Liche King: "For I am the Khemrian King!"
Tomb Warriors: "You are, Huzzah for the Khemrian King!"
Liche King: "And it is, it is a glorious thing to be an Undead thing!"
I like it. And for the record there is nothing wrong with listening to classic G&S like Pirates or HMS Pinafore
"I am the Monarch of the Sea...."
