I'm liking your Orks Jimbo, and Chris- lucky boy, getting those blisters, especially for so cheap!! :D -You will have one hell of a force once you get all those sprues painted up!! Are you planning on getting FW vechicles for them? ???

As for Knights- a heraldic style is best I think, have a look at this for ideas (I posted this somewhere before iirc).....

It sounds like you ae getting on with your fleet too Signius- have you played any games with it yet?

Well, I thought that things would be easier by now, but work is getting in the way and I am having very little painting time. I also have loads of projects at various stages, but not moving very quickly:

Gothic: Imperial Cruiser almost ready, Necron Shroud waiting in the wings (love the model), two Chaos Cruisers and a load of Iconos.

Epic: A couple of Ork stands, a load of Gaunts that have not moved in ages, and then on to Genestealers!

Other: Some 15mm Goblins, got to work on them soon, a couple of 1:3000 vessels (Warspite, et al). Also various 40K bits lying around, including Tyranids and Marines, but realistically way down the priority list.

Tuffkull's workbench

Thanks to the wonderful powers of the web, and the great guys around here, I've been sorted with a little space to host some pics! yay!

It doesnt seem to like me imbedding images in posts, so I'll just have to give you the link above and let you tak a look.

New Slamander/Saurus/skink are self explanatory - their the test pieces for my lizardmen regiments for ebay.

Rohirrm01 shows a group of Rohan warriors awaiting final details such as hair highlights and quivers painted.

Shelves01 shows where my pieces generally sit for 2 weeks after completion before I sell them. Some of the stuff i keep or use regualraly stays in there. There's a perspex cover for it too, though photographing through it wasnt too good! In case you're wondering, the top 3 shelves of this picture is all 15mm stuff and in this cabinet it goes up to 90mm+ with the Napolionic guard (center left).

Shelves04 shows a random mass of unpainted epic guard. This is te project I'd love to be working on but havent had a chance to for AGES!

Shelvesb002 shows what is my main working area at the moment. It was custom made as a 4x4 gaming table but has been drowned in painting and other projects lately. on the front edge you can see my Dark elf Blod bowl team, WIP lizardmen and a converted command group for my 40K IG. Working back across the table, theres the epic moles, a few empire bits, some kislev horse archers, my Savage orc army, bloodbowl cheerleaders, LoTR Rohirrm and some 15mm scenery projects. ?On the shelf below you can also see my Banshees I'm working on.

and finally, shelvesb003 shows some more of the empire army and codex grey IG at the mid-hacking stage ?:D

If anyone wants any closeups I can get them easily but I thought it would take too long to detail each project!

I do want some FW tanks to go with my IG force, but due to the recent "nostalga" trip I'm on with knights and tunnelers, it may have to be postponed!!

But yes, I do intend to get some, but just what and when is the problem.

There are a lot of things to do with 40 sprues!! I'm not quite sure where to start!!

Cheers

Chris

Hmmm.... I'd have to say that I'm not working on anything at the moment since I've been in a lethargic nonproductive state for the last month or two, but here's what's on the bench for when I get going again:

============================

- E-A Ork Army: The composition has changed quite a few times as the rules have changed. At one time, it was going to be armor heavy (lots of cool Stompas that I posted photos of before) with a few Boyz Mobz mechanized in BattleFortresses, but now, who knows. The E-A Ork projects have made good progress and is maybe 65% - 85% complete with most models at an almost finished level of painting and construction.

- I also converted three Ork Bommas (not yet painted) for the army, but these were gone last time I checked the E-A Ork army lists.

- I'm dying to convert some more Stompas since they're really fun to convert.

- I also want to make the plastic converted battlewagons (mix of the two plastic battlewagons).

- There's always the SupaStompa conversions as well.

- I made some SupaGunz conversions as well.

- I planned some BattleFortress conversions, but haven't gotten around to them yet. Now that the Battlefortress has lost all the cool options it had before, I'm a little less encouraged to make this conversion.

- I also made a Great and Regular Gargant with 20mm W.W.II tank hull bodies and big hulls.

========================

- E-A IG Army: I haven't really started this one yet although I have some proxies to use as Valkyries and want to make an Ogryn Auxilia unit. I really like the CAV Fenris Flyer as a Valkyrie.

- I made some proxie Space Marines (from Alternative Armies 6mm figures), but that's as far as I've gotten.

- I would really like to make some of the militia and planetary guard including hive gangers. I want to use a mix of chaos cultists and Catachans to make my hive gangers distinctive.

- I'm looking forward to making the new Planetary Guard pieces like the artillary unit and others.

==============================

- Terrain: I still have some Mars Forgeworld stuff to finish including an Adeptus Mechanicus Temple and a cool factory building.

- Necron BFG fleet: This is bagged and ready to go when the next BFG campaign crops up.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Hey Cybershadow, what figs are you using for Gaunts Ghosts?  I was thinking of using the standard plastic Catachens (sp?) but then was rethinking of using the Valhallans, trimming the lining off their coats and turning them into the famous Tanith stealth cloaks.

Of course thats after I paint about a thousand other little buggers.

I think my Codex Grey guys are going to have to end up being Hyrkans with a Command Stand depicting Commisar-General Otkar! :L

I used Catachans as troopers and a Commissar fig on the command stand as Gaunt. Not too imaginative but it works for me ... :D

Hey Tuffskull, which manufacturer's 15mm undead did you use?

I have lately been making a list of 15mm proxies for WHFB and I am still missing the following, so if anbody could make a suggestion I'd be most grateful.

Dark Elves:

Cauldron of Blood

Dwarves:

Flame Cannon

Gyrocopter

Empire:

Hellblaster

High Elves:

Repeater Bolt Thrower

White Lions

Orcs:

Savage Orc Boar Boyz

Doom Diver Catapult

Snotling Pump Wagon

Vampire Counts:

Spirit Host

Banshee

Black Coach

Wood Elves:

Wardancers

Warhawk Riders

I'm afraid I have to convert some Demonworld High Elf "Til Dolandor" for the Wardancers, which would almost require more converting I'm willing to do...

I've got a small contingent from Alternative Armies. I like their goblinoid and Elven ranges so picked up a few packs at salute. Also helps as They're one of the companies we're talking with about making a range of figures for AoFK ?:D

Dark Elves:
Cauldron of Blood

Hmm.. awkward one. I'll have to think on that.

Dwarves:
Flame Cannon
Gyrocopter

Flame canon. If you're going to the high price range, I'm pretty sure Hobby Products (demonworld) make a flame canon. If Not, Alternative have something on the way I believe in that line.
Gyrocopter is more interesting. Pendraken do a 10mm one that might pass. They're also working on scaling up most of their 10mm range so it might make it to 15mm at some point. However, they've been saying this since LAST salute, and their 15's are still thin on the ground. Seeing as its a GW trademark item, its going to be hard to find.

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 07 2003 May,09:00)

Empire:
Hellblaster

Not an exact replica, but I'd suggest using any one of the numerous historical organ guns that are available.

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 07 2003 May,09:00)

High Elves:
Repeater Bolt Thrower
White Lions

Repeater bolt thrower should be easy enough from any one of the Historical and/or fantasy bolt throwers available. If you want to be picky you could convert slightly to make them recurve but I dont see that much would be needed. White lions - Ummm.. minds blank and cant picture them in 28mm so no clue for 15mm!

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 07 2003 May,09:00)

Orcs:
Savage Orc Boar Boyz
Doom Diver Catapult
Snotling Pump Wagon

For savage or boar boyz I'd just go for a different companies ordinary board boys and paint them in recogniseable colours. I may well be wrong, but somethings telling me that Chariot do some 15mm boar boys with little/no armour.

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 07 2003 May,09:00)

Vampire Counts:
Spirit Host
Banshee
Black Coach

Wood Elves:
Wardancers
Warhawk Riders

Not mch use on these ones as I dont know their specifics in warhammer. For the warhawk riders, can I suggest the 10mm Pendraken giant eagles? I picked up some at salute as it struck me they'd make great 15mm hawks/eagles. Then you'd just need to add a basic rider of some form.
For the dancers, a mix of the Demonworld skirmishers ?with the Til Dolandor should work OK.

There is a company who's name/URL unfortunately escape me. They sell a range of 15mm seperate head packs, weapon packs etc. They may well be usefull to you in the conversions, specifically I was thinking for the wardancers to give them a good mix of weaponry.

Anyone else making E-A IG militia / hive gangers or E-A Orks?

I described what I'm working on in an above post.

Shalom,

I plan to, in due course, by using some old ww2 6mm figures so by contrast to the "proper" IG figs they look poorly equipped!

GZG makes some good 6mm troops for DS. But they are a little expensive. I bought them, sold some, kept most. ?Going to see what the new plastic/metal/crystal/resin/adamantium/gold/diamond Epic figs will look like ... oops ! ... slipped into Sardonic Mode ! :D And then I might sell them to you lot at cost ... ?:;):
