Cheers gents. The blue colour I did nick and adapt slightly from Carl where as the rest of the scheme is of my own devising. As for the warp runners symbol, well that was more luck than judgement It was one of my first attempts at using a drying retarder for wet blending. I just couldn't get it right properly, but with a bit of patience and a lot of frustration I got it looking good.

What I did was start off by painting a half circle of the old GW Horizon Blue paint mixed with drying retarder. I then painted some of the base blue colour mixed with drying retarder next to it and while they were still wet, used a clean drybrush to blend them together. I then finished up by painting a thin layer of lupin grey followed by skull white to help the coronal effect. I made a load of mistakes before I got it looking right!

Sigh. No go this round for me.
I finished most of the paintwork of the three models in the entry, and 80% of the diorama. But I still have to wash them and drybrush them and add flock. No way I can get it done, seeing I'm dead and dozing off.
Ah well..... where do we vote, and what's the theme for October?
