I've spent the last couple of weeks painting this Death Watch Kill Team for 40k... I made it 18 months ago, but only just got round to painting it (probably got something to do with most of my armies being packed for our still delayed move  :p ).  Here it is:

A few of them need decals applying, but other than that they're finished.

Next up:  some Exodus Wars Guild Centuria...

Great work.  Why does the leader have that purple skin tone.  It is because he is a pycher?

Thanks for your positive comments! :) ?The Librarian has a pallid skin tone (at least, it's meant to be :D ) because he's from the Raven Guard, part of their background is that through a slight flaw in their gene-seed their skin becomes more pale as they age. :alien:

Not quite, got enough for four stands primed this morning.  I need to order some bases on them.  I'd cut them myself from sheet styrene, but don't trust myself to cut them straight multiple times.  Will probably order some magnetic bases from Litko on Monday.  Just trying to figure out what size to use.  I think I'm going to go with 1" x 1" so I can use the left overs for some other games I have kickin' around.

Gonna play a game of CAV later on today, so probably won't get much by way of painting in today.  Might get to them tomorrow depending on how things go, four kids and all.

Well you have full training planning, there SGT C. !   I'm currently using tonight to catch up on my readings. Started with the Graffic Novel "300", which the upcoming movie is based on. Now I'm reading the one new story in Hammer's Slammers VOL.2, "Day of Glory" ... some good GEV vs.GEV action.  And still reading thru "Hammer's Anvils" ...  :D
It just keeps get'n better ! :)

Nice work, Firestorm!  Great skintones, and great highlighted blue on the tabard(?).

What am I doing...  I'll take this opportunity to moan about how I got roped into painting a boxer dog from a photo for one of my Dad's work colleagues.  Over the past couple of days the deadline has somehow rapidly dwindled from a month or two, to two weeks, to just over a week.
Not much time to spare for mini stuff.  If there was, I'd gladly be working on this:

http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/31/entarm01df6.jpg
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4053/entarm02za8.jpg
http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/3429/entarm03yl3.jpg

It's a 30mm entelodont, a Daeodon/Dinohyus.  Stick any of those names into google images for an idea of the finished product.
This is a proper first step on my little dream of a range of prehistoric minis (the 10mm ceratosaur's fallen by the wayside - I decided aganst 10mm, I'm having problems with a few bits, and there isn't a yahoogroup of gamers and several TMPers clamouring for 10mm ceratosaurs :p).  It probably won't get anywhere near any kind of mould, but at the least it'll be good practise for another couple of sculpts and poses.

I'm also very much aware of the irony that the boxer painting is distracting me from the entelodont which is distracting me from 6mm mechmages...

And I got a new toy.  One of those helping hand rigs with a magnifying lens and a couple of crocodile clips.  There's an incentive to get back to 6mm.

Ok, here's some pics, partly works in progress ( the Vampire) and partly size comparisons.

And yes L4, Arvus but what is that in the plural?

the first
